The only thing I didn't like was the policy of having to call if someone wanted to visit my room. I hope they reconsider that in the future.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and it's still my favorite! The location is great, the service is excellent, and I love everything about it.

it may be a once-off, there was a sudden load on check-in, we had to wait for an hour. The toiletries were below standard in quality as well below the normal expectation for the class of hotel and had to be requested

Room was good and kept very clean. Breakfast buffet had a wide range and many choices. The location is the biggest ESP, one couldn't get a better location anywhere else. The staff was very polite and courteous

On our last night we ate dinner at the Rosso restaurant. My wife ordered tagliatelli. It was served lukewarm and we should have complained, but we both ate some of it and were both ill the following day on our way home. On the day we left, we were due to be picked up by taxi at 10am. I rang reception at 9am to ask for our baggage to be collected. I was told someone would be with us directly. No-one had turned up by 9:45, so we took our bags down to reception ourselves.

Good choice of food and good quality for breakfast. Great room with a sea view. The chap who looked after our room, Zeeshan, did a superb job. Our room was spotless. Nice swimming pool.

The lifts are terrible. We used the stairs from 12. floor to ground floor. Otherwise we had to wait for the lifts for 5-10 minutes in rush hours. But then again a little exercise did not hurt us…

Hassan and Mohamed by the pool are great guys. The pool is clean and nice. Hotel location really great, near the beach and near many different restaurants.

Our room was booked since Tuesday and because of the floods we only arrived on Friday, they apparently cancelled our room since upon arrival it wasn't ready even though i have sent them multiple updates about arrival time. The room was fully prepaid. Really long waiting times for the elevators. I wouldn't come back

A very good hotel for a family with two children. We used the hotel pool and the nearby beach, which is easy and comfortable to walk to. We appreciated that we could choose food in several restaurants as part of our program. This made our eating during the holiday more interesting. The offer in the hotel restaurant was also varied and tasty.

Amwaj suffers from too few lifts (3). If you want to go down at breakfast time, the descent from a high floor can easily take 15 minutes. This is not a fixable problem but is a significant defect.

As a regular visitor to Dubai, this hotel is my go-to address. The best room is worth the extra for the view & balcony. Refurbished rooms are airy and pleasant. Lobby is ok. Did not use the restaurants this time, which are generally middle of the road. Location is the biggest plus, also within a short walk of Blue Waters

Well, first of all the delay of delivering the room was annoying. We had to wait like 3 hours to receive our room. If you plan to come to this hotel do not come before 2 pm otherwise you will wait for your room like many people in the lobby. Another thing which is also annoying is the long waiting in the elevators. We waited like 10 minutes or more just to get to the G floor we had to come with alot of people in the elevator in order to go down.

I like the location of the hotel because it's on the end of JBR street so the way in and out is easy. The bed is comfortable and the room is clean and the view was amazing. I would love to thank mr basal for his help regarding the delay of delivering the room he offers us a free dinner which is great.

The elevator was terrible, we often had to wait several minutes befor it came. The Room was seperated by a connecting door, wich made it quite lout because our neighbor didn‘t pay any attention

The need to make dinner reservations at the hotel restaurants, considering traveling with toddlers, the Japanese restaurant was not easygoing. Also, the portions at the Japanese restaurant were not very satisfying and they did not offer meals for my children because they were sleeping at dinner time though we had to wait more than one hour to return to a table. We did not appreciate their approach to a family with two toddlers. The kids club closes on Mondays.

The location was excellent, the food quality was very good, clean and spacious hotel. The beach is very accessible. Many shops and restaurants are a few steps away.

My booking included breakfast but we were told it did not. Had to phone booking.com to get it resolved…the front desk staff were not very accommodating at trying to fix the problem despite me showing my booking confirmation. Thanks to Mohamed the Horizon restaurant manager who was very friendly and helped to get things resolved
