We were searching for a relaxing get away weekend and we got really lucky in finding this Haus avaiable! The owner was really kind with us and the structure was perfect for a short stay :D

The location is quite far from the station and Hallstatt, but you can take the bus. You just need to pay more attention on the bus schedules. When you miss the bus, you have to walk about 20 mins, but the view along with the pedestrian path is stunning during the day, but quite dark during the night.

The room was absolutely charming with the balcony and mountain view. The room was very warm even when it’s cold outside. I wonder why the room keep warm without any heater inside (I couldn’t find heater inside). It’s very comfortable for me as a tropical person. The host are very kind. When I planned to check out earlier because of a morning train and I wasn’t able to do breakfast, she prepared a takeaway breakfast for me. That was so kind.

Perfect place for hiking, cycling and and water sports. Owners are very professional and friendly people. Definitely, if I am around, I will come back there. We enjoy every minute there with butyfull mountains around.

Haus Rye is at a perfect location and with an incredible view. We could not get enough of the ever-changing sight of clouds forming on every slope surrounding Obertraun and all this view from our balcony. Hallstatt is accessible very easily by several ways as you see fit. The house is owned by a lovely English couple whose hospitality is without limits for sure. They are really helpful with essentially everything - recommended excellent restaurants and places worth to visit. We had great conversations with them around the breakfasts. If we visit the area again, we will definitely stay at Haus Rye again. Jillian and Adrian, thank you very much again for everything. We loved every minute of our stay.

Very little. If i had to mention anything it would be that the beds were a little harder than what we were used to and we could have used a waste bin in the lunch room. But thats nitpicking.

A beautiful house with a perfect view and location. Adrian and Jillian were very friendly and helpful hosts every day and served a delicious breakfast for our family of three. When our plans for the day got messed up by the weather, Adrian was the perfect guide and a full book of suggestions for the entire area. We very much enjoyed our stay.

the host (Adrian) was lovely and so welcoming. showed us the property and our rooms, took breakfast orders from us for the next day, and even helped us plan our next day of the trip. The hotel rooms have an amazing view, especially from the dining room (in the picture). We had a great time staying in Haus Rye and we will be back!

Everything was spotless! Jillian and Adrian were kind and very helpful. The room was hot (the weather was below zero) and clean. Also, they had a free coffee and tea service, which I believe that it is unique in this area. The breakfast was very filling and tasteful.
