Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The cleaning staff was very insistent at 9 o’clock in the morning, althought we had 3 more hours until check out. The guy knocked 3 times. Very unfriendly and unconfortable for us. We had a very big bed. This was a pro. But on one side, the bed was broke and you couldn’t move in bed without noise.

Breakfast ok but somewhat overpriced at €20 a head
Reception staff most helpful. Everyone spoke good English. Room airy and a good size. Shower door almost came away in my hands but was fixed within 6 hours. Very good value for money and only 10 minutes from the airport.

Would've been nice to have some outlets to charge your phone closer to the bed.
Room was fine, nice and quiet with lots of clean towels and toiletries available. A little out of the way, but easy to bus to the old town.

This is a general issue I have with hotels, but the pillow were way too soft. Also, one of the 2 beds was squeaky.
Very close to a bus station that services 2 different lines that could take us to the city center in 20 minutes - that's why I booked. The room was clean and spacious. It was also isolated pretty well: I could not hear anyrhing from the neighboring room, only from the hallway.

- The room didn't have toothbrush and other such toiletries. - The bed made squeaky noise and it was annoying. - During checkout I was presented a bill of another guest. I was confused for a moment but after a few minutes I came to know it was a misunderstanding and mentioned this accordingly. - It's a bit far from the center.

Although I booked the hotel twice and preferred 2 separate beds, the facility did not fulfill my request. The hotel staff told me in a very rude way that it was not possible to fulfill my request, even though I booked the hotel 12 hours before arriving at the hotel. When making the next reservation, I will note that if they are not able to fulfill my request in advance, I will not even want to stay in the hotel. Why are the options left on the booking so that I can choose what kind of room I want, if they don't want to fulfill the guest's requests. It's a big disappointment when you come to a hotel and it gives you a double bed, and I no longer have the option to cancel the reservation.

The hotel is clean and staff is very good. Good breakfast options. The Japanese restaurant is very nearby with great buffet. The bus stop is in front of the building which takes you to the city centre in 20 mins.

Would be nice to give some explanation how to use the room pad. We didnt found how to turn on tv as there was no such a section in meniu. Breakfast price is very high

The breakfast was unrealistically expensive. Also the hotel is a bit hidden and hard to find if you don’t know what you are doing.
Rooms nice and modern, location perfect if you have a car and want to stay a bit outside of the city center. Bus stop was right across the street to go into the city. The parking was free as well.

No supermarket or good restaurant around, and no refrigerator inside the room.
