To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaReception was poor, on arrival there was no welcome feel, no explanation of morning breakfast location, no explanation of swimming pool location, which was in a different building. In the room no fire exit explanation, no instruction for the TV (luckily it was a TCL and I understood how to use it). As a visitor they could have provided a welcome letter with all this stuff at reception. The night before, we stayed at Golden Beach on the Sunshine Coast, such a contrast, welcome message on TV, welcome drink at check in. All the reception at Atlantis could say was that they could have told us if we had asked! Very sad since the reception claimed to have 24/7 service. What on earth were they doing, obviously not typing welcome letters!
The room and the hotel generally was very clean, although for 2 guests, they only provided one face washer and one hand towel.

Our first room on a previous week was an inside room no view..been in better prisons :) our second night in an upgraded queen with view was as advertised, view etc.

Beds are comfortable, rooms are large enough, cheap and clean. Very basic, but great for one night if you want to be close to the train station or that end of town.

New ZealandThe room had been recently refurbished which was great except the wall mounted headboard made the sound of a creaking sailing ship when lent against. We brought this to the hotels attention. A second pillow would be appreciated too as the TV is positioned on the wall directly in front of the bed. The shelf just below the T V with square corners could cause harm if walked into. A shame this wasn't addressed before the recent reburbishment.
A continental breakfast was included which was good value. The location was perfect being fairly close to the Sky Bus Terminal.

The room was internal, no windows, not a problem for overnight, but would not be good on longer stays. The room was well ventilated and spacious so still a pleasant experience. The staff are so friendly.
