Would love it if plug points were at easy and reachable access for those sleeping on top of bunk beds. Especially when a lot of us had alarms on to get up early.

The staff (especially Laura) need a special shout-out for always answering queries with a big (and genuine) smiles on their faces. The breakfast could have been better but I barely ate brekky at the hostel.

In a noisy location, but they did provide ear plugs. There was no soap for the shower. Although breakfast was provided there was only tea bags available not instant coffee.

It was a little noisy at night but understandable as this is an area mainly for backpackers and students.

It was close to beach and close to public transport. They were able to offer private rooms which is for me and my fiancé’s preference.

Having 1 toilet and 1 shower in 1 dorm for 10 people is just not enough. The shower and the toilet were also in the same room so if someone was in the shower there was effectively no toilet. Perhaps a limitation of the existing building - or perhaps current dorms could be converted to shower/toilet facilities . Expensive perhaps that the building is generating a lot of income. I moved after 3 nights because of this and have booked 6 nights in another hostel

Staff were reakly great and always ready and available to help. I aporeciated the breakfasts that were provided though I did not take advantage of them all days

It’s a party hostel so it’s loud ag night but I expected that from all the reviews - bring your earplugs. Breakfast is very basic and the same every day but it’s better than no breakfast at all! You can’t control the ac in your room so it gets either too cold or too warm and you always need to contact reception.

Private bathroom for each room, friendly people and very social vibe, our room was always clean.

No plug sockets by beds, lockers only cater for small/thinner locks so take a smaller lock. Painting of corridors/doors going on when I was there so it was a bit of a mess. No real social areas except the bar if you want a night away from drinking

Great events and social atmosphere and central location for st kilda. Bingo was a lot of fun! They have happytravels there to help with onward travel

Sometimes the pancake batter wasn’t mixed properly so you could taste baking powder, but that’s complaining on a high level. It’s a great hostel!

Very good location close to the tram in St Kilda. Free pancake breakfast was great. Liked that the kitchen was cleaned regularly throughout the day.

The mexican receptionist is unfriendly doesnt know how to work and goes against the business liying that there are not availability when online it was, liying that the bingo was full when it wasnt. Requesting passport when ID is a valid document. Very unprofessional. The kitchen is disgusting, no way to cook there, all the cookware dirty. No ovens! Fryer machines really dirty.

Great hostel for party. Nice people. The location is good if you want to go to the beach. The staff in the morning were cool.

The kitchen and the dining area is in very bad condition, all the doors of the corridors are so noisy, they miss the rubber on the edge and every time someone close it(booom) you can hear it from the other side of the building. Also the window of my room doesn’t have any sealed part. So cold comes in and you can hear people taking on the road. Disappointed that in 5 night stay, they never changed or ask me to change the bedsheet or the bathrooms towel. 6$ for laundry machine and 5$ for dryer is expensive for a dorm. I was expecting little bit more for a room at 100A$ a night.

The location is good, near the tram stop and very close to the beach. The structure is designed to separate large form to double rooms, it helps for the minor amount of people passing to your door. In the group floor there is a bar/pub that does event every night. It may be annoying, but can be good for solo traveler that want to meet new people. The technology for opening and closing the door/lift and any access to the hostel is perfect. And always security at the door.
