Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaFriendly, efficient staff. Easy, early check in with the ability to park for free, even though the room was not ready. The hotel still values personal interaction & it exudes a comfortable "old fashion" vibe, not so available with current trends. Our room was quiet, the windows opened & the view overlooked the park close by & out to the the Derwent river. We watched the sunrise the next morning. It was possible to request single beds & also a room away from the elevator. The beds were very comfortable & although the room was not elaborate , it was spacious, had a couch along with a table & 2 chairs. There was a kettle & coffee machine with coffee pods The bathroom was also spacious with a roomy shower & good quality hair & body products. Although the Lena is an older hotel & we were located in the less salubrious building, it is perfect for an overnight or a few days stay. It is easy walking distance to Battery Point, Salamanca, the wharf area, the city & we walked to the State Theatre in North Hobart. There are numerous restaurant possibilities of varying menu styles & pricing, close by.

AustraliaThe car park was a hassle due to small spaces and turning room, and we had a small SUV! our Rent a car was damaged in the parking area, probably by a larger vehicle struggling to reverse out.
The location was just great, the city view was ok, and the room was pleasant, should we go back again I will take a good supply of sugar, four small sugars per day is parsimonious to say the least, I took my own coffee.

Convenient, free and ample parking available. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, and the shower had excellent water pressure.

Honestly we were terribly impressed by the quality of the accommodation for what we paid. And that didn't include that it was right beside the harbour, Salamanca and Battery Point. The whole place was perfect. Even the bed was comfortable. There was adequate free wifi. Our room looked out over the harbour and was better than we could have hoped for. This was one of the most satisfactory hotels that I've stayed in! Oh - the traffic out to the airport around the morning rush hour is AWFUL. Leave lots of extra time.

AustraliaAccess from the waterfront is up a short but quite challenging steep hill, otherwise all good!
Location is excellent, adjacent to Salamanca Place and the Hobart waterfront, close to cafes and restaurants and walking distance to the ferry to MONA and Battery Point; free parking easily accessible but not undercover; the room was comfortable with all the amenities needed to make for a great stay and the staff were friendly and helpful; our room had an uninterrupted view of Mt Wellington; all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at Lenna.

AustraliaStaffing seemed tight. They had a bar but no bar person (reception would help). Had a restaurant but only served breakfast with one staff member on.
Lovely classic hotel with some updates. Location at the end of Salamanca Place with restaurants and bars at walking distance. Room had great views.
