Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Found it a little weird that the entire house smelt of some artificial fragrance, either candles or spray I'm not sure. You don't use that much scent unless you're trying to mask something
Location was excellent. House was very clean and tidy, AC in every room. Would be great as a family holiday.

There was some mould on bathroom roof but otherwise exceptional.
It was a great size for 7 people. The house was clean and great facilities. The pool was great too. Only a short drive to beach and restaurants.

A couple of cupboard doors were needing attention.
House was beautifully furnished and decorated. Pool was a lot of fun for the grandchildren. Two living areas gave us all the chance to do different activities. Beds were very comfy. Lots of good towels provided

The only thing I can suggest here is the amount of delicate/breakable things in the house. While it made the house look really lovely, we had to move/hide a lot of ornaments to keep them safe and then put them back before leaving.
Awesome place, friendly host. House had everything you need when away from home... toiletries, kitchen supplies, toys for kids which kept our kids busy. Pool was fantastic. House was really clean and smelled lovely. Really enjoyed our short stay here.

The property has everything! All you need is yourself and clothes the home has got you covered with everything else. From surf boards to paper towels, they have the lot. Loved that the house has two sections to kick the kids down one end while you can relax in the other ❤️ Will definitely be staying again with the family

The house was lovely but with a toddler around we had to watch closely that he didn’t bump into glass tables and get into the decor.
The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with all the essentials and quite a few extras in the kitchen we don’t normally have at other property stays.

It was perfect having 2 separate areas of the house. It was good to have the kids down one end which had their own lounge with a Playstation. And the main ensuite room with another lounge for the adults! They loved the pool and the outdoor area was perfect or dining all times of the day. Will definitely stay again
