The scrambled eggs and hot drinks are the only hot things you will find at breakfast. Kettle in the room leaked which is apparently a reoccurring problem.

Location is great for seeing the battlefields, not too expensive (stayed in Nov 2023). Check in was simple, and room was sufficiently comfortable. British TV is available which we liked, limited to BBC

Noise from adjacent rooms. Unable to accommodate dinner in the Restaurant, although it didn't look full at any time. tyhey did recommend some local restaurants close by. We used the one that was visable from our room at the bottom of the hill. fabulous Steaks, with the best pepper sauce I have had. brilliant staff, Very good prices.

Not much to fault but do find the prices on the high side. As the location is so good and the views can be unfortunately you have to expect to pay more. Go for peace and quiet.

Have stayed in this hotel before. It has a superb location and the front room overlook the valley towards France. Service and friendliness of staff excellent. If you like walking or cycling the hotel is perfect and you can leave the car at the hotel and enjoy the countryside around.

Crack in mirrored glass

It was in a beautiful tranquil setting. The rooms were spacious and had balconies overlooking the valley. Owners and staff were very friendly. It was close to Ypres and great for my dog as it was set in woodlands.

Wow! This hotel is amazing. We upgraded to a better room and it was everything that we were promised. The views from our room were spectacular. The room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had no issues reserving a table for dinner, and what a dinner it turned out to be! The food was outstanding and the service was great. My wife has a food allergy, and they created dishes to accommodate this without fuss. Breakfast was excellent and checkout was seamless. We will definitely be staying again.

The staff. My partner fell down the swirl stairs on the second floor. There was no signage for the stairs. I did tell the staff that there was an accident all that would said was “oh okay” My partner injured his back legs and his hips. This is just to make people aware of the stairs.. As they will not put any signs there I don’t think. The room was so hot it was 29 degrees. With no air con (they are a green hotel) just a fan. Asked for another fan and was told no. So hardly had any sleep .. I did loose an AirPod in the room. And I contacted them to see if they could find it. But to no avail. Although the location of the AirPod is at the hotel (old location) But it does updated regular. 😞 Only plus side. Is they was dog friendly although my dog was very dry hot all night. Not great.

location,view and the helpful and friendly staff along with the most hospitable hosts. Christine was delightful and very knowledgeable. The breakfast was superb. The dinner was amazing, we chose the 3 course option but the staff surprised us by adding another two small but very tasty dishes to our meal.

FWhat's not to love? A small paradise in the middle of nowhere, quiet, exquisitely beautiful. Could stay here just for the food. Fabulous dog walks, most comfortable bed, gorgeous bathtub... I could go on

The hotel is really beautiful with interesting decor and well presented, clean rooms. We arrived late and the staff were most helpful in getting us into the hotel despite everyone having left for the night. The breakfast was excellent and the views fantastic. We only spent one night but will be returning for more in the future.
