Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyI ordered the chip option. For that you get tiny room on the 2 floor. Doors to the toilet there are super bad (you can see the person sitting inside from the outside) and the numbers are very old. By luck there was an option to upgrade for 15 euro to another better number. In the winter it can be a little bit cold, as old sigle layer windows are intalled in the rooms
The interier in the hotel is super nice, it was very well decorated for the Cristmas The big rooms (on the 1st floor) are quite nice, as they are renovated.

United KingdomNothing to complain about
The location was great and in easy reach of the motorway. The reception closes early on a Sunday but the owner (called Bonie) waited for us to arrive to ensure that all was OK and was very helpful. Myself and my colleague were travelling on business so the hotel was perfectly placed on our journey from Calais to Eindhoven. We needed to leave early in the morning so Bonie prepared a breakfast package for us with sandwiches, juice and fruit - fantastic!

GermanyThe rooms are not very soundproof, you hear everything that is going on in the hall and other rooms. The steps are very steep!
Very good when traveling to Calais; only an hour to go! The rooms were clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful! Lots of possibilities to walk the dog around the hotel. Bar was nice as well. Very nice interior

United KingdomThis hotel would have been perfect if the restaurant had been open. Okay, they had told us it would be closed due to staff holidays so we were prepared. There is a Chinese restaurant within easy walking distance, but we didn't fancy that, and it was also quite expensive. The Ten Lande is good value for money, and it's likely we'll stop there again when all facilities are open.
This hotel has a great location for travellers heading south through Belgium, in our case towards Italy. It's only a couple of minutes off the motorway, and is easy to find. It has a useful car park behind the hotel, and our host was very welcoming. We gathered that other staff were away, so he was doing everything, including breakfast the following morning, but he did it all very capably and had time to chat to us. Because of the staff shortage, the bar and restaurant were closed which was unfortunate, but there was a well stocked fridge with drinks etc on the first floor landing of the hotel. Our room and breakfast was good.

United KingdomIt is a dog friendly Hotel, but the rooms are upstairs and the stairs are very steep, which was an issue with our dog. Unfortunately we did not have a good night sleep as there were more than 15 mosquitoes in our room, and we were bitten by them very badly. It wouldn't be a big investment to upgrade the rooms with mosquito net to avoid this to happen.
The host was very friendly, tried to make sure we have all the necessary information about the region, and also prepared breakfast for us. The Hotel is nicely decorated, feels homy.

NetherlandsThe bathroom is a bit outdated, the door to the bathroom is unpractical and doesn't give enough privacy. Overall impression is that it's clean, but lacks maintenance. Nothing bad, but compared to the attention of the host for his guests this is not a complete match. Would book again though.
The host! Excellent host that does everything possible for his guests. The parking was also very good, Out of the street private parking behind an (open) fence. Very cosy terras, that we didn't use because of the short stay.

United KingdomThe later time for breakfast, however the breakfast more than made up for this!
Wonderful fresh breakfast with a good variety of food available. Space to relax other than the room. Easy walking distance to bus and train station and within walking distance of places to eat in the evening. Off road parking. Loved the decoration style of the place.

NetherlandsIf I am nit-picking, the bathroom could do with a tidy up although everything worked perfectly. Stairs inside and out should be considered though this 86 year old managed OK.
Really nice Architect designed family house from the 70's, with lots original features like beamed ceilings and wooden staircases. The host / owner was extreemly welcoming and helpful and the rooms excellent with very comfortable beds. Great breakfast served at the table with no scramble for buffet. All in all we enjoyed it very much and will return when we pass this way again.
