Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThere is a persistent smell in all the public areas (probably due to the carpets). The stairs and carpet were very dirty and the room was full of dust (like near the heater). The breakfast is not continental self-serve but pre-set on the table.
The most beautiful decorations throughout the hotel, very impressive, like staying in a museum. Very central positions, on a street full of restaurants few meters away from the Grand Palace. The matress was very confortable.

MaltaThings that were paid for like washing machine, tv, etc were not there. Room was extremely small we hardly had space where to move and put our things. Breakfast wasn't bad but there was no choice. Only orange juice which was ready in a glass on the table and orange juice is not good for me - you don't have at least another choice. And a thing which I don't like is that you have only a slice of cheese per person, which you find on the table, and the bread and croissant were not packed, which I don't find it hygienic. Only one thing per person. Even coffee, only one cup. Lift is extremely small. Only 2 ppl can stay in it if you have a backpack each. If you have a lot of luggages you have to go up and down all the time. Overall not so bad considering we were there only to sleep, take breakfast and using the bathroom but I was disappointed by not finding everything I paid for.
Location is excellent as it is central. And reception is there 24hrs which is good. And there were clean towels every day. Owner is jolly and we liked him. Hotel is decorated as Morocco style which I liked but it's not safe for young kids as there are too many things that can break. Anyone with young kids, you have to hold them with you anywhere you go so they don't break anything.

GermanyThe hotel was definitely a bit of a maze, which I didn’t mind but it wasn’t very accessible for potential handicapped guests. There were quite a bit of steps going up to the rooms and they were sporadically located. The rooms are very simple. Definitely do not stay here if you are wanting luxury and modern amenities. The hairdryer located in the room did not work, the power cord was cut. There was also a phone located in the bathroom that did not work. So if you were staying there and did not have cell service to call anyone, you would have to go downstairs to request things.
The hotel was super cute in a Moroccan style

NetherlandsThe hotel is in the center, so it is quite noisy through the night even with the windows shut. I slept with the windows open though, because the room was quite hot and stuffy. There was a desk type of fan in the room to help with that, but it was a bit loose, so it made a lot of noise when turned on. I decided to keep it turned off because I had neighbors through the walls, and, judging by how easy it was for me to hear them, I assumed they would also hear the fan in my room working the entire night, which was even noisier than the street. I have to say that I have a very strong preference for a cool room temperature to fall asleep, so I imagine that for a lot of people, the room won't feel as stuffy and it won't be an issue. On the other hand, I am a very heavy sleeper so I still got an ok sleep despite the street noise, but I guess many people are a lot more sensitive to that.
The host is super friendly and nice. The place is very charming, it is lovely just to spend time there. The location is fairly close to the train station, which is convenient. The room that I got for about 90 euros/night was really huge, like there were two floors to it - really good value!

FinlandUnfortunately I encountered bed bugs in my room. I did get a new room in the middle of the night, but I felt i couldn't trust not to encounter more of them, so I switched to a different hotel the next day. My advice is to not to stay in hotel Mozart. It was a very stressful experience to sleep knowing about the bed bugs and very expensive to switch to another hotel on a short notice.
The staff were nice and it was an interesting experience to see a very unique hotel.
