Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

There was a crazy amount of sirens all night, every night. I'm not sure but there may be a police station nearby.
Room was perfect, very clean and spacious. Will definitely stay again.

The room was good and no problems with the hotel itself. The surrounding area walking towards Brussels Nord train station wasn't great at times so be aware and keep valuables out of sight.
Fortunately upgraded to a double room through availability and it was a good size for a solo trip. I chose this hotel for it's location. I went to the Spa F1 GP and it was a 15 min walk from the hotel to the coach departure point. A solid base for the weekend trip.

The breakfast is just okay. The bathrooms are very poorly designed. Everything is sqeezed into small spaces, sideways. I could not even properly sit on the toilet due to the paper hold.
Normal sized rooms. Comfy, large bed. Helpful staff. Good location.

Bathroom. It was small and difficult to take a shower for those who don’t like to use a bathtub.
Location. It takes almost 6 minutes to the Metro. Facilities. Air conditioner.

The pillows can be a bit bigger and firmer. The bathtub where you stand when you take a shower it’s a bit too narrow (and I am not a big person) but there is nothing that can be done about it.
Location. Within a reasonable walking distance of all the main things as well as public transport. Everything basic is there. 24-hour reception.

Close to two police stations, so expect occasional sirens at any time of the day.
Good value for money and good location - safe and 10 min walk from city centre area. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very convenient location - its very close to the city centre and most of the landmarks are at a walkable distance. The hotel staff is very nice and accommodated our request for keeping our luggage for a few hours after we checked out so we could make use of our time as our onward journey was later in the evening! The room was comfortable and well maintained. Ideal for 1 day or a 2 day stay!

The bed mattress was a little worn out, so it did not offer a very comfortable night's sleep. The mattress is probably ready for replacement.
Best Western Royal Centre is in a convenient, central location. About 10 minutes' walk from Centraal station and 15 minutes from the historic centre. It is also served by a tram route. The staff were polite and helpful, and the breakfast served was good with plenty of options. The neighbourhood is not next to bars, so it means it is relatively quiet for sleeping.

Lack of parking (location issue) No other complaints
Staff were incredibly helpful, room was an ok size, appreciated the air conditioning. Hotel was very clean. Bar/ refreshments downstairs was also nice. Internet connection was good. 15 min walk to main sites

The bath
Hi the hotel has an e excellent location and the ergo were excellent. Only thing the bath can be slippery, so an anti slip is recommended.

my room, 410, was close to emergency stairs and during the night people was going to smoke, there was a lot of noise in the rest room any light is able to show you face in the mirror this morning I found dirty stuff such as towel still in my room
