To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThe whole place is spartan - there is nothing by way of decor. I guess there is nothing to steal or break! Overall very plain room and surroundings.
Its half way between Midi station and the Grand Place. Its fairly quiet. The bed was better than expected. It was clean and guys on the desk were pleasant.

PortugalI rate it 3 out of 5 in terms of cleanliness, as the area where you put the towels and the doors had a lot of dust. They should change the curtains for blackouts or blinds, as a lot of light comes in in the morning and makes it difficult to rest.
The location is reasonable and the receptionist is friendly. Price quality is acceptable.

HungaryA desk for a laptop and a chair with a backrest would be useful, instead of a counter-like table and a plastic stool. No "white curtain", only the dark one. Papercup should definitely be changed to a glass. Noise insulation is poor.
Quite a simple hotel in the city centre. Easy to access with public transport, 15-20 min walk from the Midi station, 5 min walk from Manneken Pis. Clean room and bathroom.

United KingdomAfter I had checked out Hotel Windsor tried to charge me for €350 without reason. They tried several times to take money from my bank account but got declined. When I messaged them they said I broke the TV in the room, however, we didn’t use the TV once and were only in the room and awake for about 1 hour the entire trip because we were sightseeing. They also threatened to call the police if we didn’t pay which was honestly laughable considering they were the ones trying to commit extortion
