Some usual hotel equipment must be supplied to room; like a kettle, single-used slippers and other needs.

Being gluten free and vegan, it is always appreciated if they can have alternatives in their freezer so that I can have something to eat. There was nothing for me for breakfast, so Almond milk, Beyond Meat Burgers (keep frozen until a guest needs it) and steamed/roasted vegetables would always be appreciated, even for breakfast! A healthy breakfast is a cooked one....as a vegan coeliac, Burgers (only Beyond meat is also gluten free), plus pan fried greens, mushrooms, onions and carrots, makes for a perfect and healthy breakfast! The staff were wonderful, despite the above...and I appreciate their efforts!

The location is perfect, you are a very short walk from the start of the Garden Walk, and also up to the main road where there were great restaurants. The staff are wonderfully friendly, and the breakfast was very good for my partner. Nice coffee. The room was quiet, overlooking the pool. The pool is great on a hot day, and despite being small, it is all perfectly proportioned. I would highly recommend this hotel. Bulgaria is a lovely country; Varna was a gem, and this was our first trip, but I can say, it will be the start of many trips! I recommend hiring a car; this hotel has a small parking area, for added convenience. I don't normally leave reviews, but we were happily surprised with this last minute booking to tide us over until our flight the following day. Happy travels everyone!! :)

Brilliant location, about 3 minute walk to the stunning coast line, and maybe a further 15 minutes to a sandy beach where you can spend the day. We took a trip up to the beaches in Golden Sands one day, but honestly much prefer the area near to Alekta. Golden Sands is all resorts and very touristy and about twice as expensive. We requested a room with a view and they really delivered. Rooms and breakfast area are clean and bright. Breakfast is nice, mainly continental but also with some eggs and sausages. Good for meat eaters and even vegetarians, but not really anything for vegans. Beautiful terrace area with sun loungers and pool. Very well kept. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The only reason I've given 4 stars instead of 5 - there is no water or coffee provided in the rooms, however when I asked about this immediately on our arrival to the hotel, the very kind receptionist told me I can come and get water and coffee from the bar any time I need. It's only 3lv which is fine, you can only get complimentary coffee and water during the 8-10am breakfast. Anyway, when I came down from my room early in the morning to get a coffee (before 8), I was confronted by a male staff I had not seen before. He looks like he lives in the gym and his attitude is like he is taking steroids. Anyway, I politely asked if I could get a coffee (having been told it was totally fine any time), and he just started shouting at me, very aggressively, "go away, go away, later" over and over again. I am female and was alone and it was very intimidating to have this large man shouting at me. I was shocked. I later asked and found out he is called Ilyad. So avoid him if you can. Once I told the management they were very apologetic and offered to comply coffee, I do understand it's not their fault. Such a shame one person can bring down an otherwise perfect experience.

Nothing to not like.

When I contacted the hotel they to make sure booking is ok as that was alternative choice organised by bookings. Long story why. The hotel said booking have made mistake booking one studio for us family of 4- with 2 young children. Which lead us to separate from the children and have extra room instead an apartment and be all together. Understanding our situation and not able to do much in this case on their behalf they try to put the rooms one next to another at least. Which was very kind of them. Staff directed us to good place for food as they have only breakfast. Assistant with transport by calling taxi and also having taxi to collect us from airport. Rooms were clean and serviced every day. Which is lovely. We enjoyed our stay.

Location is slightly outside the city but at least beach is not so far.

Air conditioning was switched to some winter programme during the stay which effectively removed the air conditioning. This resulted in unbearably warm sleeping conditions. Staff advised that the only way to cool the room was to open the balcony door - on a shared balcony?? - which , for some comfort, we were forced to do Obtained a fan later in the stay and this did help to a degree. The hotel began closing things down towards the end of the stay, removing all the sun-beds and cushions - effectively ending any sun-bathing desire. Staff availability was also reduced towards the end of the stay- removing the evening bar service. Carpeting in room would have benefitted from cleaning/upgrading

- The shared balcony - I always consider this to be a safety hazard - No mosquito net on the balcony door - The bathroom (although pretty and modern) was not very functional - The door was hard and noisy to open and close and there were no shelves to put your toiletries on around the sink and shower - I personally didn't find the bed super comfortable (though it wasn't particularly uncomfortable either - I guess it's down to personal preference) and there was no power outlet to charge my phone next to it
