Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This was not just a “get it done quickly” review. The hotel was outstanding in EVERY category. We wish our stay could have been longer, but we were only in Sofia one night. This will definitely be our choice next time we’re there!

I guess this is true about most places in Bulgaria - the service is a bit less happy to help than you'd expect in other European countries
It's a nice little hotel in a lovely neighborhood - close enough to the main tourist street, but getting none of the noise and crowds.

Limited space and selection of breakfast.
Great location, close to everything in the city center by foot. We got a suite with a big terrace, unfortunately, but we didn`t see the sun. A bit small for three adults sharing the room.

Very poor breakfast and fairly unwelcome breakfast staff. There was no air conditioning or heat in the room

No complaints! Highly recommend for a first-time visit to Sofia because of the great location.
We were SO happy with our room at the Rosslyn Thracia. First, I was amazed to see the room is HUGE - not typical for European hotel rooms, in my experience. The beds were very comfortable and the shower got super hot. The location was perfect. We were right next door to one of the best Bulgarian restaurants in the city, and very close to the main pedestrian street but not actually ON the street so we could open our windows at night for a nice breeze and it wasn't loud. Front desk staff was always very friendly, and the main City Centre metro station is less than a 15-minute walk away. Would absolutely stay here again.

In the past, breakfast was one of the tastiest ever i had in this kind of urban hotels. After a long period the hotel was close for renovation and the lockdown because of Covid 19, the managmant had change the location of the breakfast hall and now it is located in tha small lobby. Now everything is less atrractive and the food seems to be somehow dull. Also the amenities are less atractive then before. Still, very good hotel.
I am a regular guest in the hotel, for more than 15 years. Great location, quiet area although in the middle of the city and very close to Vitosha Blvd. The hotel is renovated and rooms are very nice. Another point -there is a parking for a reasonable price in an erea which is dificult to find a parking space. Wi-Fi is effective. Breakfast is fair.

The soundproofing of the rooms. The TV service. The TVs were not updated and therefore could not use streaming services. The pillows were not comfortable

Perfect location, just 1 minute walk from the Main Street. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff always there. Also very good breakfast!

Wifi was very very very slow in my room. My room was also cold so I had to request a portable heater.
Great renovated bathroom. Great location in Sofia. Indoor garage parking is extra but the valet service was very convenient. The receptionists were all very cordial and very helpful.
