Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Lightbulbs could be changed out to make the room brighter.
Location is great. Staff is great. Dimitri at front desk was wonderful. After learning that I would be going to airport at 3 am, he asked what he could do to make my morning better. I was very moved.

The WiFi wasn't great ,but we didn't need it too much,our room was the farthest away from the router so I guess that was the reason.The bathroom had a smell of drains,I did tell reception and housekeeping did a great clean the next day .
Perfect location, great breakfast,great breakfast room, comfortable beds,the hotel is above average for Bulgaria.The staff were friendly. Very happy with the price for value for money.We would definitely stay here again.

all good
we arrived via metro NDZ the wrong one but wegot there in the end the receptionist over our time was very helpful she was able to locate a few places we needed to go the corridoors were well lit and very manageable even the stairs we loved the room a very large suite which is what we wanted a very comfortable bed no balcony but we did not want one the view was green loved it the fridge was well stocked and the coffe and tea box was a bonus the sitting area was ever so comfortable two tvs a luxury we will be coming back - the breakfast was sufficient thou a tad cold we had a meal in the restaurant wine bar omg loved the koi tank very romantic all in all we had a great stay and we will be back

There was no real breakfast option for vegans. Everything else was well catered.

Lighting in the room
Hotel Nicky has a perfect location on a quiet street in the center of Sofia. The room is very spacious and clean. The breakfast offers a good variety of pastry, cold cuts, cheese and fresh fruits. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I am in Sofia. The staff was also very helpful. I stayed twice over two weeks and the second week I arrived very early in the morning and they let me check in early 9am without additional charge for the room.

THis is a very minor thing, but the elevator is small and slow, so if you have bags, you will probably have to have some patience carrying them. Besides this, nothing else... all was a very good experience.
The hotel staff is really helpful and kind. They were ready to give guidance on what places to visit around. The location was also very convenient, and it was easy to walk around. Finally, the breakfast was outsanding.

The breakfast could perhaps use a little more variety and an improved coffee machine with a proper milk frother.
Small, well-located hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The reception is seemingly always manned, which meant check-in and check out was easy (even before 7am). Good value for money, I would happily stay here again.

That the aircon did work, but we should of asked the receptionists, as it was very hot in the room
