To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaSeems as if it is privately owned and their a disconnect communicating between the property hired concierge team versus the booking company. There is no English speaking liaison to assist tourist who come across this booking not fluent in Portuguese. Also you lied that the room will not be available and suddenly came up with an early check-in fee to make a profit versus being there for the customer who is already paying a surcharge due to carnival season who has been a regular guest in the past.

United KingdomThe fact that you have to pay the cleaning separately and there are no equipment for you to clean it by yourself. They don’t change the bed sheets and towels if you don’t pay for the cleaning, which takes less than 1 hour. Take it into consideration if you’re staying longer. Another thing I didn’t like is that tou are now allowed to bring anyone into your flat. If you’re staying for months like me m, it’s a huge lack for freedom of you can’t invite friends into your flat. But I think this decision was not made by Atlântica but the building managers as most of the tenants are not from Atlântica.
The location is great. The street is quiet but central. There is a good indoors swimming pool if you like to swim some lanes. Water is often very cold though.

United States of AmericaMy room was not fully cleaned when I arrived so I had to do some cleaning. it smelled like smoke. i purchased Lysol and room freshner. Then the toilet hose was leaking so I had to use the very two towels yall provided to clean it up. Housekeeping brought ONE towel and didnt bother to take the wet dirty ones. The tvs were not turning on cause remote batteries were not working. They wanted to change my room from 5th floor to 19th. Bizarre to have to move up 14 floors. so i stayed.
location is always my reason for staying. it used to be much better before the property changed to residence. As a hotel guest not much is put into the guest. almost like we are on our own after we arrive. worst inconvenience is to have to contact someone via WhstsApp with issues instead having a human to deal with at reception. Highly recommend the Atlantica Rep be at the front not some hidden office.

The location is nice because it's s surrounded by restaurants and pubs, the subway is reachable walking. The room is very comfortable.

If was not for the support of the condominium personel, not related to the Altantica team, I would had a really bad experience.

United KingdomIt was not made clear upon booking that the stay is administered via an App and that this App is not available to download for non-Brazil mobile phones. When I used the Booking.com messenger to contact the apartment administrator, they did not address this problem. I was lucky because I had a Brazilian relative who was able to get a WhatsApp number for them. Once I established communication with Bela Cintra via WhatsApp, they were very helpful but we spent a stressful few days before check-in wondering if we would ever be able to fulfil our booking.
The location in Consolacao was amazing with loads of great bars and restaurants

United States of AmericaCustomer service is horrrrrrrible. No face to face contact. Its all through an app and they are horrible in responding and rude. They should allow the people who physically works at the reception desk to assist us with everything. Nothing is in the rooms as ghey said. If something is missing you have to wait hours and sometimes a day or two for them to come fix it. Where the physical staff could easily do it. Its a decent place but beyond horrible customer service and maintenance.
