Hotel well located between Copacabana and Ipanema. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Large breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfortable & clean room.

The shower unit was leaking loads, so a bit of maintenance is definitely needed. Our bath robe didn't come with a belt. Breakfast hours could be extended a bit as it gets very busy. The lights in the bedroom were very weird. We couldn't turn one of them off, so it stayed on all night. Figured out there were extra controls next to the bed (far away from where the light was). Would come back anyway. Very pleasant stay, 3 nights wasn't enough.

The location of the hotel is great, easy access to both Ipanema and Copacabana (give Copacabana a pass next time), lots to do around (restaurants, supermarket, even a playground for our daughter). The swimming pool on the top floor is very small but was lovely, had it for ourselves for some time and it was great. Breakfast was lovely, lots of variations each day, which was a nice surprise. As a Brazilian I loved having some classics available: pão de queijo, bolo de cenoura, carolinas de doce de leite :) The lady in reception was great, and also the cleaning ladies when we asked for a few things we had issues with. We had the suite, so it was very comfortable, they set up an extra bed for our daughter in the lounge and it was great as we could close the doors between the spaces.

Our room was smelling a little bit of molde

Nice hotel, nice breakfast. Not much diversity, but was fresh and good. Pool on top was nice and the rooms are very big. The staff in general were awesome!! The cleaning ladies, the guy in the front, but just one staff was kind of a not polite person with Brazilians, but very polite with the gringos. He is Portuguese from Portugal. He is going to treat you better if you are not Brazilian.

Building work during the day was definitely a downturn for us; obviously would be even worse during the night. The hotel is not new, so do the facilities. The toilet from our bathroom smelt a bit damp.

Location, breakfast, staff, shower pressure and mattress were absolutely outstanding. Breakfast has plenty of options of pastries, eggs, cheese, cereal and drinks were also abundant. Pool and gym are compact but fit for purpose.

The AC was a bit noisy. The room is worn down, especially the door. Loads of dust in the bathroom ceiling.

A lick of paint would go a long way.

Great location between the two main beaches and with plenty of restaurants around. Decor and fittings could do with a refresh, but everything works. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The room we had facing the rear was quiet which was a pleasant surprise in a big city. View only of apartment blocks, but who stays in their room in Rio!

Given the four stars the following surprised me: Sound insulation in hotel is subpar, so your neighbours can cost you some sleep. Some minor housekeeping hiccups (housekeeping opened my window and left it open the whole hot day, bag with some rubbish forgotten on a bench instead of taken out). (Also: I tried using the rooftop pool in the morning but it was still closed for cleaning. So the pool wasn't as useful as I thought it would be.)

Room was spacious and clean. Good breakfast with a large selection of food, with lots of fresh fruit. Location was very handy, well connected with bus and underground if like me you prefer to use public transport, fairly close to Copacabana beach and within easy walking distance of Ipanema beach. Overall, this was a good choice for my needs if a bit pricey.

Needs some modernisation. Some very tired features and for the money you expect a bit more of a polished finish.

Great location just between Ipanema and Copacabana. A varied but quite average breakfast. Good size rooms and friendly staff.

The hotel is unfortunately like a faded star and needs urgent improvement .

We enjoyed the roof top(cobertura) and the breakfast. Being very close to the beach is a huge plus. Franz from the reception was very kind and polite.

The plumbing is suspect, but that's pretty much par for the course in Brazil. Check in is very slow.
