Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaUnfortunately we found filthy floors full with someone's hair, dirty dishes, squeaky and poor furniture. The water faucets are separate for hot and cold water so it's virtually impossible to get something in between. Too small for a family of 5 although it is suggested as suitable. There's no repellent to keep the mosquitoes away. There's nothing to mop the floor in the bathroom so it gets very messy after kids.
Clean bed sheets, hot tub.

PortugalThe bathroom needs a bit of updating and the electric sockets were old but nothing that interfered with a lovely overnight stay.
Very charming wooden cabin in the woods! It is basic (apart from the hot tub!) but we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the cabin was clean. We didn’t use the shower but it did look dated. Check in was easy and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the WiFi was. The propane BBQ was also really good. We only stayed one night but had a fabulous time.

United States of AmericaShower was extremely small which is to be expected, the bigger problem was the poor water flow and no where to put your essentials, soap, shampoo etc.
Nice little bungalows off the beaten path. Bed was comfortable and the bungalow cooled off quickly once we opened the windows and turned on the fan. Nice quaint little place to stay. Grill and kitchen provided so you can do your own cooking and not have to eat out.

CanadaThe only super minor thing I noticed was the hot plate didn’t get hot enough to rapidly boil water, hardly a dislike though! Also, I wish I would have gotten the dog’s name, she was so sweet!
Beautiful scenery, nice and quiet, everything was as advertised. Check in and out was hassle free, nice and friendly service. Close enough to things to do, but super cozy location if you want to stay and relax. I loved my stay here, it was the perfect little retreat I needed for my birthday. Hot tub was also amazing and the provided firewood was a lovely touch! Oh, also, I loved the (I believe) owner’s dog, she was adorable and took a nice walk with me my first day there and came back to visit me the next morning! I just lost my precious dog a couple months ago and it was a nice unexpected little treat that brought a smile to my face to have some furry companionship for a little bit.

CanadaThese are very fine examples of bungalows from the 1940s/1950s when people started to visit the area by car. The wood structure and fireplaces are lovely and authentic!

GermanyWe loved staying at this accommodation in Brisco and it was the perfect place for us to stop for a 2 night stay during our 4 week road trip. The lodge is basic (it’s a wooden cabin after all!) but if you’re looking for a simple place in a remote location you will love it! We really enjoyed using the barbecue and roasting marshmallows on the camp fire while enjoying the view and playing with the owners’ very friendly dog Cinnamon! Highly recommend this place!

Canadathe bed wasn't that comfortable, and the dishes weren't very clean, they ask you to clean your dishes when your done so we are assuming it was previous guests that didn't fully clean after themselves
we loved the charm of the cabin and would definitely go back, we were looking for an experience and thats exactly what we got we also love how they are pet friendly so we can bring our pups next time

NetherlandsOutdated facilities as kitchen, shower, sink, gathering of kitchentools as you would gather at garage sales. No airconditioning, only an old fan. Narrow bedrooms. Quite dirty especially in bedrooms, ketchen cabinet and washroom (under beds, on corners of shelfs and under furniture, layer of dust and probable droplings) Unfortunately our cabin was visited by mouse in nighttime, which broke our night chasing it (probably more) away, in morning several droplings found in kitchen and on our food. Owner surprised and promised to find and close spot where it enters….mouses in environment is logical but should not be able to get inside, we believe he will fix it, but we decided to move elsewhere.
Location as group of traditional wooden chalets (sorry no bungalows!) nicely situated in a bushy surrounding. Facilities is a mixture, modern facilities as hottub, large fridge, BBQ and high speed internet / TV combined with outdated facilities. If you like kind of glamping then this could fit you.

CanadaThe bathroom is tiny, especially the shower. I would need an update... but I could do it for 3 nights. If someone is bigger or has mobility issues, it would be hard to move around in it or use the shower.
Owners, cabins (oldies, but goodies 😉) , location, quiet, and tranquil. BBQ for each cabins! Dog friendly The owner's dog is super friendly. Even though we have not fed her, she was hanging around at our cabin. Lots of birds around. Also, local farm animals around. I was surprised. They have "room service." Will empty garbage bins, chamge towels, bring toilet paper, and for longer stays, change bed linens if neended. We loved it ❤️
