CanadaSomeone had unplugged the mini-fridge so I had to find the cord and plug it in to use it. Sheets were a little coarse, but not a big deal. One lightbulb in the room sconces didn't match the others -- it was a blue-white instead of a warm yellow like the others.
The bed was very comfortable -- not too soft -- and there was a good selection of pillows on each bed, from thinner to plumper. The curtains were thoughtfully installed, with magnets inside the edges holding them closed. Usually noise from other guests wakes up my dog but this wasn't an issue here.

Large room, large beds, firm mattresses, very clean. Very quiet, negligible noise from neighbour rooms or outside traffic. Big restaurant, no waiting time. Generous and varied breakfast. Close to main roads and center.

BelgiumIn July we stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Upon arrival in the room we noticed a terrible smell (like somebody has been smoking), a very old airconditioning unit which makes a terrible noise, moisture stains on the ceiling,... Apart from that the room is quite big. In the evening we wanted to make use of the whirlpool in our room. We however noticed that it was broken. I went down to the reception to explain the problem where I got the response that the person in charge of fixing such problems already went home. She would take note of the problem and make sure it got fixed the next day. I already had the feeling at that point in time that they did not really care about this, so I did not have the feeling the problem would be fixed the next day. Note that we specifically paid extra for a room with a whirlpool. The next day, after returning to the hotel in the evening, the problem still persisted. I went down again to the reception and explained the problem. The person working that evening could not find back any reporting of this problem and also told me that the person who could fix this already went home (again). At least this time we were offered to move to another room. I went to check out that room to find out that also there the whirlpool was not functioning. So, I went back to the reception again to tell that there is also a problem with this room. We got a business card with the email address of the hotel and were told to explain our problem via an email. We sent a mail to again explain the problem and asked if at least the price difference between a room with / without whirlpool could be reimbursed (because it cost more). After 2 weeks still no answer was received, so I sent them a reminder mail. Now, again 1 week later they still did not respond. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced from a hotel. I would not recommend staying in this hotel. It's quite expensive and definitely not worth 4 stars.

United States of AmericaFirst room I was sent to hadn't been cleaned or serviced from last occupant. Beds were unmade, empty can on the desk. I left before checking the bathroom. Second room I was sent to, the bed was made, Bathroom had fresh towels, but previous guest's consumables were still in the room. Open bag of chips and a soda on the desk, open bottles of mayonnaise and chip dip in the refrigerator. There was a "pod" coffee maker in the room, but no pods. Took 15-20 mins, in a fairly empty restaurant, to get our server. Actually had to get up and ask who our server was.
I had a place to stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Food was good at the restaurant (service was slow).
