Not sure if an error on booking site but there wasn't any tea/coffee machine, and no hair dryer in room as stated. Room was cold and damp and couldn't get heater to work but didn't call desk for assistance. One bed smelled like had a wet dog on it previously and the box springs extremely creaky. Glad had 2 beds as only had 2 flat pillows per bed. The shower pull thing was broken, so difficult to get out, very low water pressure. No hot water in sink taps. Floor was sticky and didn't feel clean. Police had apparently been there previous night. Felt kinda sketchy, even though I had a friend lived in area previously. Bf said no way sleeping under comforter so slept on top with my jacket as only covering. The toilet paper was super cheap,crecycld brownish colour stuff that am sensitive to so walked to Shoppers to buy some.

I liked it was near my appointment in case physio place had set off my vertigo. Was walking distance to stores. Room had a mini fridge, microwave, table and chairs.

Could easily hear neighbors talking loudly and it took over 5 minutes for hot water to come with both the sink and tub running full on. There are VERY limited TV channels to watch Would not stay here again.

The outside of the motel is a bit tatty. Some rooms appeared to have bin liners / black plastic in the windows, which is a bit off-putting. The door to my room was marked and door frame damaged as if it had previously been forced. The room smelled stuffy when I first arrived, but easily resolved by opening the door for 10 minutes.

The room was large and the bed comfortable. The room was clean and provided with soap and shampoo. The WiFi worked well. Reception formalities were straightforward and staff pleasant and helpful. The room door had effective locks. The motel is located within 300m of busy roads but my room as quiet at night. Within (fairly long) walking distance of downtown Dartmouth. The walk is pleasant, taking in a lakeside path. The hotel is within 400 m of supermarket, stores and chain restaurants/cafes.

Left our adaptor and chargers in the wall by mistake and rung that evening but were told it hadnt been handed in so look somewhere else. We had thoroughly checked our stuff before ringing. No offer to go and check.

The room interior could be significantly improved with a coat of fresh paint and updated bed covers (we got old covers, with some holes, not nice like the ones in the pictures). The look of the place didn't make it feel clean (hence less comfortable), but I do think it was acceptably clean overall.

Good location (very car dependent) with close access to amenities (stores) and nearby Dartmouth and Halifax. Easy check-in and check-out. Friendly staff. Blackout curtains and air conditioning.

There was no hot water in the tap which I felt disappointed. I couldn’t take a shower. But the bed is so comfortable.

You might want to fix the hole in the wall; put a clip on the hanging cable beside bathroom door so no one catches it and just paint or replace that baseboard between toilet and shower. These are simple, practically cost free things that would greatly increase eye appeal. There is a trick on line to simple gyprock hole fixes - google that.
