Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaIt was a 7/10,so still good, but for what it was, I found the price a bit high. Hallway smelt a bit like cigarette smoke.
No breakfast. Building a bit weird, I guess, no concierge but room itself was decent size, and very clean.

CanadaIt's a good, reasonably priced option to stay in a great location. I was particularly impressed by the helpfulness and friendliness of the reception staff.

CanadaKind of sketchy location and I got the impression that the rooms were normally only booked for a couple of hours rather than the few days I stayed… if you know ow what I’m implying…
The room had a jacuzzi tub.

United KingdomRooms 6,7 & 8 were on the second floor with narrow access. Access to the balcony was via a fire exit!! Not a very desirable location. I was a bit nervous to return to the hotel after dark!!😏 Needed to go to a different location to collect the keys to the hotel, although it only a few doors away, again up a narrow stairway with luggage and all! Not a convenient arrangement. They requested a deposit of $100 for any potential damage. I paid it by debit card but was returned in cash at the end of the stay.
It was quiet. Very close to the metro station and a supermarket. I could leave my luggage at the Reception after checking out.

CanadaThe location. I was not a fan of the location at all. It is very close to downtown but the neighborhood us just not it. There are a lot of addicts just roming around there and in the park just in front of the room. Also, the said location is very close to a pub? Which does not look good at all. That was the only downside of the hotel.
The staff. They definitely tried to accomodate us at least 3 hours before our checkin time, eventhough they have a charge for that but we really apprecaited it and the room was very clean.

Canadagreat location right beside the metro. Was very cheap but you could kind of see why, but that’s what I wanted, just a cheap place to say, no bells and whistles.

SwitzerlandThe presentation is misleading. This seems to be a kind of residence, in a not so safe area, presenting as a hotel. That was a bit of a shock and also when I arrived it was dirty. That said, any problems I had were quickly resolved and the staff were lovely. I settled in and enjoyed my long stay there. Just be aware that it isn't exactly what it seems.
The little terrace out the back. The size of the room. The metro is just in front and there's a supermarket next door.

SpainUnsure how this can be rated as a 4 stars hotel. Room was clearly not cleaned properly, stains on the bed, chair, full of dust everywhere, including the pillows. Only 2 small towels in the bathroom for 2 people.
Located close to the metro and other transportation means, even if small park in front is sketchy so would not necessarily recommend that area. Good for one night if you need a cheap place to crush in Montreal with private bathroom. This was the most decent option we found for the price.

United KingdomA small clothes rail or wardrobe wouldn't go amiss. Parking is the major setback. Finding a local space was impossible.
Facilities are clean. The location is ideal for the JD park and a brisk half hour walk to the Quartier Latin.

CanadaThe check-in process is TERRIBLE. While it does keep the cost down, the hotelier is not always available to take your call. This can lead to you waiting for in my case over 45 minutes to check in. Let me tell you waiting with all your luggage after a full days travel is very very aggravating.
The room was nice and comfortable. The location was good and very close to the metro. I liked the no fuss check out. While the building was not a spanking new high rise hotel, it was very charming and comfortable. The price was unbeatable.

CanadaThere were two huge centipedes on the walls (I have pictures) and there were 5-6 fruit flies everywhere (room and the bathroom). There were also no toiletries whatsoever. I had asked for early check-in (12pm) and had received correspondence from the hotel that this was possible and I had accepted the option and the fee. When I arrived, not only was the room not ready, they tried to explain to me that check-in is usually later and I had to show them my emails. The staff was very friendly and worked on cleaning the room however just a disappointing start.
I liked how close it was to transit and the price wasn't too bad per night.
