Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe did find a moth on the curtains and the wall behind the bed was sealed up french doors with plaster board, but no sound insulation. I literally heard both sides of an entire telephone conversation because they put chairs right by the French doors. Fortunately late at night no one was around there so I slept well.
Great location a short walk from the train station and metro. The room was very nice and big and had a fridge, microwave and tv. I had to work while I was there and the wifi was excellent.

CanadaThe TV in the room didn't work. Not all the staff made the tea well.
Location was great. Fairly comfortable. Nice to be able to get coffee and tea in the morning at the cafe for a discount. Price was good.

United States of AmericaThe shower being in the room was a weird setup. Also the exhaust fan in the bathroom makes a very loud rattling noise. There was little privacy in the room because the curtains didn’t close properly.

CanadaThere was no hair dryer in the bathroom.
The location is excellent just minutes away from the Museum of Fine Arts, and many other attractions. The room was spacy and the bed comfortable. The coffee (cappuccino) and tea in the little café downstairs is excellent, and the croissants and scones were delicious.

United States of AmericaThe room wasn't clean. I moved the couch and strange rocky debris was underneath. The floor was dusty, along with the window panes. I wish there is a fridge in the room instead of the TV, because it would be more useful. Especially that there was only small bottle of water at the reception desk (it was bigger years ago)
I have been here before and I liked the experience and the place. Now that I drove to Montreal, the parking in that area is a plus. The staff are prompt and accommodating.

United States of AmericaI would say the only thing I didn't like was my shower/tub in my room - sometimes it took the water a minute to go down after showering. I would rinse and wipe it out a couple times after using. Besides that, the other facilities worked great and the bed was so comfortable!
I really like the size of my room, I had so much space. The block that the hotel is located on is super quiet as well, which I appreciated. I also appreciated how close the hotel is to the center of the shopping area/tourist attractions. Also, I liked the fact that the hotel is not that far from the airport (about a 30-40 min bus ride depending on traffic and the weather).

GermanyNothing really, I would have to nitpick to come up with something.
The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, large windows to let the light in. Great location for reaching Mount Royal and the city center just by walking (otherwise Peel metro station close by). Self check-in/check-out were fast and convenient. Cafe downstairs was great for something sweet or a warm drink to go.

United States of AmericaI thought the self checkin process was easy. I had arrived before the cafe closed at 7PM so there was staff there to greet me. It was going to snow that night so even though there is free parking on the street I reserved one of the two covered spots behind the building. When I checked out staff came out to shovel and cleared the way for me but I would bring a small shovel like I did to assist.

The location was great. Although it is walking distance from McGill and Concordia as well as museums, restaurants, shops, the hotel is on a quiet residential street. Staff were very friendly, and they accommodated me to check in early. This is a no-frills hotel, so the room didn't have any amenities (such as a coffee machine, fridge, etc.) but my room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was renovated and modern, the bed was very comfortable, and despite the cold weather the room was well-heated. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

CanadaThe room was neat and clean, and properly supplied with all the basics and toiletries. But just so you know, it's not grand and luxurious. It is small and basic - in case that bothers you.
A charming little place, it's a quaint Victorian era building. Simple and basic, but neat and clean. I was quite satisfied with my stay.

CanadaThe room was pretty dated. Clean but dated, with the walls in need of a bit of work. Also parking a bit expensive at $30/day in an open garage near the trash cans. Felt a bit unsafe, but ended up fine.
The location is great, walking distance to restaurants, attractions, landmarks and the old port. The price was really good compared to the other options in the same area. The Cafe at the mezzanine is a cute spot to have a coffee and a muffin. Also great communication and support from the owners/management. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of accommodations while exploring the city.

United States of AmericaLOL, room was on the 3rd floor, and the stairway was tough to climb each time, especially with bags. Seriously, the only drawback - other than dreading the stairs, the room was perfect.
For the price, the room was awesome - comfortable, clean, all the needed amenities. I really enjoyed staying there, and the location was right where I'd want to be.
