There was a group of people who monopolized the firepit and the dock area, so we could never use it. Just the timing of when we were there. The website could be improved and have interior pictures available. Also, the prices should be listed.

Our cottage was nice place and spacious. It had everything that we needed.

Your website and even the top of this page shows an individual lovely cottage. What we got was a motel room with a filthy porch to go to an outside kitchen with appliances that didn't work. The deck was in desparate need of scraping and painting, couldn't sit on the chairs without pain coming off on our clothes. The picture on the website was not what we were given. We never met the woman with whom we had to communicate with, some man came from somewhere to give us a key, and we were not told there was a wifi password.

Pool was out of order due to liner needing to be replaced. Also not easy access for swimming, no beach just boat launch & boat docks.

Staff was incredibly helpful, friendly. It was a beautiful location & nice cottages.

The little cottage number 2 was hilariously tilted and the ceiling are low. Doors difficult to open or close. Not really accessible to if you have walking disabilities.

Being right on the water is great! Probably not a great spot to swim, but boater friendly.

High room rate... and this isn't a dig at the Merland specifically but to all of Picton and area accommodations... overpriced! Not sure I'd stay there again.

Stayed in cabin #7 in Sep 2022; it was clean and the kitchenette was well equipped with appliances and utensils. The cabin and deck had a terrific view of the water, and a lovely view of the water.

The cottage would be more attractive if the outside was hosed down. I did encounter 3 spiders and an ant inside.

Lovely view from the dock and fun campfire in the evening. We enjoyed our own breakfast each morning on our deck facing the water. The shared kitchen worked out fine.

Motel room entrance and decks weren't clean. Shower in the second motel room was tiny, just about ok for a kid. I'd have expected basics like a bathroom and shower to be consistent with all motel rooms considering they're all priced the same.

Great lakeside location. Seating by the lakeside is great with serene views. Fantastic views of the sunset. Lots of variety of cottages available and property is beautiful. Bonfire nights. Great place if you enjoy fishing. Barbecue for every cottage, made for an enjoyable evening dinner!

The location itself was very beautiful but the pictures did not match the reality. Especially the cottages could not be compared to what we thought we booked. The cottage is in pretty bad shape and when we first stepped in there, we were greeted by a horrible smell from the plumbing. Furthermore we found left over chips and orange peel underneath the sofa and the dining table, which was disgusting. If that wasn't enough we found hair in the beds and the shower had stains, from what we could only hope was just dirt. The worst part was the kitchen and the fridge which we didn't even want to use and put our food in it. So first thing we did was clean the cottage and go buy cleaning supplies, I never thought I had to clean before even starting my holiday. I also have to disagree with having wifi, because we certainly did not. You can log into the wifi but unless your standing infront of the office you won't receive any. We were really disappointed.

Our cabin was a little musty, I know this is bound to happen in a wood cabin, but I am highly allergic to mildew and mold, so it was a little much for me. But I sprayed some air cleaner and it helped.

I love how quiet it was, even considering it is off a main road. The view was incredible, staff so nice and helpful. It was just 2 of us, so it was a perfect size :) Had all necessary amenities.
