Compared to my previous place , some parts of spa were closed due to reconstruction, there is still a lot to do and enjoy, and it does not take away from the atmosphere, hopefully all for good changes coming up.

This was my second stay. I loved the location , the separate island, the level of privacy and isolation and of course the spa that comes with very relaxed atmosphere. If you are looking for getaway or small retreat this is a perfect place.

In addition to breakfast, I wanted the pool. So inside the filter was morning cadence and swimming pool. When he finished, the pool had left and entered as part of the SPA on site. 35 CAD per person + Tx. Gave almost 90 CAD more!! This is nonsense. 90 CAD to be able to be in the pool. the value would already be almost 400 CAD. 400 CAD for me to stay inside the room? This needs to be revised urgently!!

We had to pay $35 per day, each, for use of the spa, sauna, pools. Until May, it had been included. The room cost on the weekend doubled, because Formula 1 racing was in town. We were there for my companion to have hip surgery, but were still charged double. Our bill for 5 nites was around $2k. Too much, in my opinion. Our first room in the basement level, had a black ant problem. Our 2nd room, on the 2nd floor was lovely, gas fireplace, great ambience. The Oasis is on a private island, but very convenient to the highways. Beautiful grounds, though in need of more attention.

The breakfast was excellent! The beds were very comfortable, with quality linens. Large, fluffy white, monogrammed towels, nice touch. Several Desk staff had a poor command of English.

We did not know til we arrived that we could not use the pool without paying the resort fee (somewhere around $40). So we don't know how good it or the spa would have been. Breakfast service doesn't start until 8:15 and nothing is provided beforehand, even coffee. There was a Keurig in our room but we couldn't get it to work and there was no milk. and that morning, the start of breakfast was delayed. Staff did get us coffee while we waited for breakfast.. There were no gluten free bread options, though my husband was able to do ok because of the eggs, sausage and fruit options. (We had pre-advised of the gluten issue but we did reserve the same day, so perhaps it was too late to purchase extra materials..) My husband, though, could have nothing he could eat in the evening, except salad. The access for the hotel might be scary for some people. The bridge to the island is narrow, with about 3 foot walls.

Room was very comfortable with the only issue my preference for a slightly firmer mattress. It was also well appointed, with water provided, a bathmat for the shower, for example. Breakfast was good, with both sweet and savory options.. The hotel also had food available in the evening, at reasonable prices. I did take advantage of this and the food was good and well presented. The island location is very pretty.The location may not be for everyone, but we liked it, since it is not hard to reach from Highway 13 and works for us since it is on the west side of Montreal and suits us for a return to our home base in Ottawa.

Breakfast was brought to our room but the toast was not buttered, we were missing the sausages that we ordered, and the tea came without milk or sugar.

The only negative about the property is the room in the lower/basement floor. The sill of the windows is high and seems like you are staying in a basement. Even with this, the rooms are nice.

The location of the property is awesome. Breakfast is good. A place to spend atleast 2-3 nights and cut-off yourself from the rest of the world.

Can hear traffic noise at different times of day, so it's not as peaceful as you'd imagine. I found dark hair on the sheets and in the bathtub - the worst, biggest pet peeve. This happens often, but this time was worse because it actually snuck under my night clothes. And it's a far drive from Montreal on crappy roads.

Nice rooms and building. Accommodating staff. Property is nice and the spa is pretty decent, even if it had to be paid for separately. Breakfast is very nice and actually delivered to room.

Extra change for spa. Room was noisy with window open since it was next to the pool. But closing window worked. There was no gym. Grounds could be made nicer, but they were ok. Deposit not yet returned at time of review.

A bit disappointed that the restaurant and /or bistro not open more. For someone working early breakfast being brought at 8:30-9:30 did not align. The front desk did give me some food the night before.

Very unique property very different from the cookie cutter hotels I normally stay for work. The spas and hot tubs were a welcome relief after work each day.

The room was very sparsely furnished. we had a coffee machine but no pods to put in it. This became a problem- we wanted a cup of tea after 20:00 but the front desk was closed and all the staff gone. The smoke detector was missing. I mentioned this to both desk clerks and they seemed unconcerned. The room also had a very strong smell of cleaner (maybe the previous guest was a smoker, disconnected the smoke alarm then the cleaning crew had to cover the smell up). The smell did dissipate with the windows open while we went to dinner.

Oddly- the lighting in my room was not very good. There was an additional lamp in my room which I moved to the table (where I was writing) but it was still not great.

The spa and gardens were lovely. Definitely a place to come for the day and relax or meditate. I stayed the night but could only check in at 4, so I didn't have as much time as I would have like. Another time I would have come earlier to enjoy the spa area. The on-site bistro is fine for a snack or lunch, but not really for dinner. One would have to leave the site to get to a place for a nice dinner. The buffet breakfast was ok (fresh warm croissants!) but everything was cold (hardboiled eggs) and the jam selection was mediocre. For the price I would have expected something a little more special.
