Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI asked for a room facing Rene Levesque and got a room facing west into another building. Room service was sporadic, none some days and very late in the afternoon other days.
Good service from the front desk. Breakfast was good. Elevators ran perfectly, no waiting. Room was ready early, good for me.

CanadaNot a friendly reception at the counter. Breakfast should offer better options.
I did not enjoy the breakfast - it should include options like scrambled eggs and sausages. The location was good - I was able leisurely walk from the train station to the hotel, and the from hotel to events. However, there are many other hotels in the immediate vicinity.

PortugalThe rooms are not big, but if you are visiting the city you don't spend all day inside. The beds probably would be a little bit small for tall people.
Great location, clean rooms, attentive staff and the good breakfast.

Trinidad and TobagoAlthough Breakfast was good there was no variation in the menu, so if you spend more than 3 nights there prepared to be bored with the food (hardboiled eggs, croissants, bread, 2 flavor options for yogurt, same 2 fruit options, cereal, tea, coffee, same 2 juice options). Not sure if there was a no breakfast option but I would select that next time and visit all the breakfast restaurants in the area instead.
For the price, this was a really great location in the centre of the city and within walking distance to all the major tourist sites and great shopping streets. All of the staff were very kind especially the housekeeping staff and the team in the restaurant. I stayed in a room with a standard full and it was cosy (small but not too small). The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. It looked either the hotel has been well mantained or they recently did a renovation. I was high up and got the sound of passing buses (public transport is VERY regular), but nothing that you would notice if you're not paying attention. Also unless you had neigbours standing directly outside your door having a loud conversation, the soundproofing in the building is quite good. The north rooms face a building and a major street so not much to look at, but the south facing rooms from the 8th floor and up seemed to have a view of the Old Port in the distance. The breakfast croisssants were amazing but...

CanadaAvailability of parking was an issue. We were unable to park at the hotel as the lot was full and instead parked at the Desjardins building which was cheaper anyway! Our room appeared clean but my wife found some trash under the bed while packing up.
The hotel looks like it was renovated recently and had a nice, fresh look to it. The room was a bit small but typical for large city hotels and it didn't bother us as we were out most of the time. The premises appeared to be very secure. Our floor was very quiet; we only heard the elevator a couple of times during the night.

United States of AmericaTiming for room cleaning was strange. As I left the hotel on two separate days I saw the cleaning staff and mentioned that I was leaving. When I returned several hours later the room was not attended to.
Privacy, as expected. Front desk staff was helpful when I had questions. Breakfast was satisfactory, plenty of what I like for breakfast. Fresh fruit was excellent.

United States of AmericaThe rooms are tiny & a tight squeeze with 2 people & luggage. There is very little parking so it is possible you won’t get a space.
The location is great & convenient to both Ste Catherine St & Old Montreal. The breakfast on site a nice addition as well.

FinlandThe room was quite small for 2 people and the bathroom/shower were very small.
Breakfast was simple but lots of options - fresh fruit, cereal, croissants, coffee. The location was alright, close to Chinatown, but a bit far to walk to nightlife during sour weather. Regardless, it was a 15-20 minute walk to Bell Centre.

AustriaBreakfast I found below average and was disappointed. Plastics knives and forks and too much plastic used. Not much variety. Melon and pineapple slices were the only fresh fruit. No cheese or cold meat offered as I would expect for a continental breakfast. No warm food offered or hot milk for coffee. Only filter coffee and hot water was offered in big canisters. Eggs were very hard boiled. Croissants were tasty. Rubbish bins too close to where the food was placed.
Very central, most attractions and sights in walking distance. Room very clean, spacious, comfy bed. Room service came every day. Hotel was quiet during the night. Very pleasant stay and worth the stay. Friendly staff, check-in and check-out within minutes.
