Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel staff was super nice and attentive, and very flexible to make sure we were comfortable. The rooms were very cozy and the decor was so unique and well thought out. It was an amazing experience!!

It was quite expensive for a one night stay with dinner but it really was very good.
We stayed at Boutique Hotel Schlussel for one night on our way to Italy. Conny gave us a very warm welcome and was a fabulous host throughout our stay. She kindly upgraded our room from which we had a lovely view of the lake (including from the bath!).The room was very comfortable. We had a first class dining experience - Gosia is an excellent chef! Breakfast was fabulous too with a lot to choose from and very fresh produce. It was a fabulous start to our trip thanks to the lovely hosts.

No airconditioning.
Nice spacious room with a beautiful view on the lake. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. The restaurant is of high quality and we were lucky that it was served in the lovely garden.

A bit of a disappointment with the room. Very low ceiling and the bathroom sink right in the room. The shower (very small) did not have almost any privacy. Practically we needed to undress and dress in the room.The toilet (very small again) did not have ventilation. No air condition, needed to have fan running all the time during
The staff was very attentive. The location was perfect, away from noise and traffic. Very good food selection for breakfast and dinner. Generally very high standards with the exception of rooms

The restaurant was good but too expensive for the quality being offered.
Staff is welcoming and friendly. Beds are really comfortable. Breakfast is tasty and freshly made. Location is amazing with spectacular views of Lake Lucerne.

Having to leave!
EVERYTHING!!!!! Conny and Gosha are amazing!!!!! It was absolutely brilliant in every way! The welcome, the food, the hospitality.....absolutely 10/10 for everything! We will certainly go back! The hotel is beautiful, the location, the rooms, it really is a little gem! My only concern is that they couldn't possibly keep this up......its wonderful!

the hotel has a lovely welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step foot inside. our room was large and comfortable. the restaurant cosy and intimate. there are so many little touches to make it look beautiful. The dinner was absolutely delicious, more of a fine restaurant than a restaurant in a small hotel. All the staff speak English and were friendly and helpful. I will be recommending this hotel to friends and family. now it’s a few days later and I have since stayed in two other hotel, I can say that this hotel has been the best value for money by far.

I can’t find any flaw, honestly.
Conny the manager she is simply amazing, the best I ever met, very welcoming, fun and helpful. She makes you feel really at home, even better!! if you are on the way definitely deserves a stop!

The bed was not very comfortable. The mattress was very thin and firm. We were woken early by the sunlight as we were unable to close the shutters because of the fly screen. Blockout blinds would be a good investment, and a better quality mattress.
The food and customer service was excellent. The hotel was very charming with lots of attention to detail. The staff were incredibly welcoming and met all our requests.
