It actually wasn't not to like. Rather concerning. We arrived to breakfast at 7.30, along with a couple of skiers. To a closed restaurant area. We tried calling/messaging and using the front doorbell to contact him, all to no avail. The skiers were on a time scale and were being collected by a pre paid taxi, and left without breakfast. We prepared to leave, and did so at about 8.15-8.30, similarly leaving without a breakfast. We left, and subsequently got lost. Coming back past the hotel, as we were told by a local at Andermatt, we called in; as we had to pass by it en route. I stopped by, and was greeted by a staff member initially, and then the owner. he had a bad night and was unable to open the breakfast area as he would have wanted to, due to illness. His colleauge gave us a few bits for the journey and asked us if we wanted a drink, or indeed food. We declined, as we needed to press on. They couldn't have been more accommodating in adversity.

The owner! Although this was a double edged sword. He told us all we needed to know upon arrival. Explaining in person how to use everything in the room, including the connection to the wi-fi. Even bringing us easter eggs. Then we asked about our next destination, and we agreed that he would let us know at breakfast. He told us where to eat for the evening, and local beauty site locations.

The location is not far from Andermatt. The room was spacious and clean. The owner was kind and helpful. The actual room looked much better than in website.

Staff were amazing, very accommodating, kind and helpful. We were recommended to a nearby restaurant for dinner and bought complimentary snacks on arrival to our room. The included breakfast every morning was fantastic, it filled us up for a morning on the slopes at Andermatt Ski resort. This quaint little hotel was everything we needed, the views from our room were beautiful. Bathroom very clean and spacious. Beds very comfy. We felt very at home with the decor, comfort and hospitality.

A little expensive, but good value for the area and for the relatively last minute option. Pillows were too soft for our needs.

unfortunately the restaurant was not open due to staff holidays, this is understandable, but it was not mentioned anywhere on booking.com. so after a long day travelling we had to "go out to find food" instead of just relaxing in the advertised restaurant

Older property so could hear people walking about which woke me at early hours so couldn’t go back to sleep. No lift but owner did carry my bag upstairs for me.

The owner was charming, so very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you, very nice man to talk to. Our bed was comfortable, the room was spotless and breakfast had huge array of choice. Huge bathroom with good, large shower.

Nothing whatever to complain of, it is an old country hotel and the furniture and decor was what you would expect.

The room was comfortable, there was a view of the mountains, and it was very easy to find right at the entrance of the village. There is plenty of free parking behind the hotel. It is right opposite a good restaurant. It is very quiet. The breakfast was excellent, good bread, good choice and good coffee. The owner was friendly and advised me about places to go and see, roads to take, etc.

Just a word about Göschenen village - there’s just a coop for shopping and one hotel that serves food in the evening. We ate there, alongside engineers from the major tunnelling project nearby - which proved to be a good value meal, albeit with limited choice. Note also that the restaurant didn’t take credit cards, we paid cash in euros.

This very traditional Swiss hotel was ideal for us, needing a stopover while on a rail tour. Very handy for the station and good value for money, by Swiss standards. The owner was very helpful, our room and bathroom were spacious.
