Our room's only window opened to another small room. The windows had been left open in that room so we could get some ventilation if we so desired. Someone has smoked in that room prior to us checking in, so when we opened our window it smelled horrible of smoke. Since there was no AC we had to put up with the smoke smell in order to stay cooler. Invited 4 mosquitos in.

In a smaller town. Nice country drive out to the town. Nice walking path out back of the property. Good breakfast.

It was very hot in the room and there was no air conditioning or ventilator. We knew this before booking (AC). We left the windows open during the night, but since the window faces a terrace, on which the people sometimes stay, we had to use the curtains over the window, so that we had privacy and no one could see inside. Because of this, the air didn't circulated properly and it was not cooling down. We were there only 2 nights. But for the dog was not so chilling.

The staff was nice and helpful. We were able to take the breakfast as takeaway, since we left before 7 am. The hotel is pet friendly and quiet. The parking is free of charge. Right across the street is the train station and a small shop. Bern is 20 minutes away and is very beautiful. Your can also find a gas station near the hotel.

It was a little further from Bern than I thought. Was only 20 mins on train but cost 9CHF each way. The restaurant and bar closed on Sunday and nothing open nearby

Hotel was basic but very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was travelling with dog and there were no dog surcharges and a good dog walk behind the hotel

Steep stairs and no elevator, Bed was low and mattress/pillow spartan. Room/bathroom are tight.

Breakfast consisted of a good selection of bread/buns, cheeses and sliced meats. Hard-boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt and fruit made it a full meal. Hotel location is just 15 min. from Bern with good roads and providing good access to other points of our trip: Freiborg, Neuchatel, Lausanne, Interlaken and Lucerne. Room was generally clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was meagerly decorated, but the bathroom was en-suite and pleasant enough. The bed was adequate but a bit low to the ground for us. The stairs were a bit challenging for my wife, but the staff again was more than willing to help us get to our room. Would definitely stay here once again.

So appreciated the kindness and service of the staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent, reasonably priced and delicious. Location was optimal for us as we visited friends in the village. The room was adequate and it was nice to have a window for light.

The noise from the main street - I had to wear ear plugs to be able to sleep.

The breakfast was rather "basic" but I found something to eat. I am vegan so there are many foods I was not able to eat. However, I found some fresh, dark bread and marmalade in the fridge and the kind lady brought me some coffee so I was fine with that.

Breakfast was ok, but we arrived a little bit towards the end of breakfast time and some food was missing (salami, cheese)

We arrived late, but the lady let us in although everything was closed. Room was cosy but nice and clean.

- good wi-fi signal - free parking - big rooms with big bathrooms - we had access to the terrace from our floor - good breakfast - friendly staff - even if we received a room with view to the railway station, it was really quiet

Nothing really, it's the Kind of place you pick because it's convenient. I would imagine it's fantastic for those who travel by train since the stop is literally at the front door.

Very practical, easy to find, park and get in. Was a little skeptical at first because it seemed rather empty and a little dated. But everything was straightforward, clean functional and the host was great.
