Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNo complaints
Lucky and staff were so friendly and welcoming, they did so many extra things for us at no charge which made us feel so special and comfortable. It was a heatwave so we spent extra time at the hotel and couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience, talking over breakfast about Chinese history/culture and our lives over a fresh cup of fancy tea

United StatesI liked the location. It was a nice walk to the Chongqing 1949 Grand Theater in the Ciqikou Ancient Town scenic area. The staff couldn’t have been more patient and helpful . After arriving late, a young man guided me up to a restaurant that was still serving food. The hotelier ,Lucky, who spoke English , communicated with my next hotel for me about method of payment & etc. I would have been lost without her. She invited me to have tea with her and shared Chinese tea culture.

New ZealandIf, like me, you prefer to use public transport such as the subway, then the location is difficult. The nearest subway is a long walk away, and difficult to walk to, through the University campus. However, using the hail a ride app on Amap is very easy to use and amazingly cheap. Then it's easy to get a ride to-from the nearest subway or anywhere in town you wish to visit.
If you are looking for a home-away-from-home in a quiet area, this is the place to come in busy Chongqing. My room was absolutely delightful, with a private garden balcony under trees. Everything was so clean and inviting, and the shower was the best ever. I woke to the sound of birds and cicadas. The manager, Lucky was wonderful and spoke excellent English. She welcome messaged me on WeChat before I arrived and sent me a list of attractions I should visit in and around Chongqing. A highlight was seeing the amazing theatre production called 1949 in Ciqikou Ancient Town on her recommendation. As I was in Chongqing for less than 2 days, I didn't have time to enjoy a tea ceremony with Lucky. Next time, when I visit again Lucky. The location is close to Ciqikou and easy to reach the Chongqing West railway station when I was leaving. Breakfast was a delightful mix of Chinese with a little bit of international and the staff were all friendly and helpful. If I could give this a 10+ rating, I would.

SlovakiaMy recent stay at Wuyu Hotel was absolutely fantastic, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the personnel were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Every member of the staff was extremely helpful, always ready with a smile and eager to assist with any request. Their genuine warmth and efficiency truly made a difference in my experience. The location of the hotel is another major plus. It was perfectly situated for exploring the city with easy access to public transportation. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anybody looking for a hotel with exceptional service and a prime location. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

CanadaNothing!
I simply cannot say enough good things about this hotel! If you've traveled long enough, at the end of the day all hotels sort of blur together, a bed is a bed, a shower is a shower, a tv is a tv... what really makes the difference in a place like this is the staff. Lucky, Rebecca and 李贵平 absolutely saved my life when just about everything that could go wrong on a first trip to china (sim card, payment apps, taxis) did just that. They fronted the money for two taxis for me, organized transport to the china 5G store, and helped me find English versions of every local Chinese app. beyond that, I had a wonderful tea ceremony with Lucky and they were all very communicative over WeChat with me, asking me how my day was and giving me advice on what sights to see. This was one of my favourite stays ever in over 30 countries! the human element makes all the difference. Beyond that, the room was fantastic, bed comfortable and the shower pressure was extremely strong (huge positive in my book). If I was a new traveller to china or even a seasoned veteran I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!

NetherlandsOne has to rely on a Didi or taxi to go the subway which may be bothersome. There may be noise from other guests.
The hotel had a nice setup and was well maintained. Our room was comfortable and clean. It had a little terrace, but unfortunately due to the rainy days, we did not use it. The staff (Lucky and all other staff members) and the offered services were excellent. You really feel welcomed. Refreshments and tea/coffee and even noodles are complementary which is very much appreciated after a day strolling through the city.

United StatesThe staff was incredibly friendly, the room was very clean, and the hotel provides many amenities. The manager helped me plan out things to do during my vacation and recommended delicious places to eat. They provide an amazing tea service, so if you stop by in between attractions, you can get delicious tea. The breakfast was also great! They offer Chongqing style noodles and you can adjust the spice to fit your taste! If I come back to Chongqing I will stay here again :)

SingaporeWe had big luggages as we had planned a longer stay in China. Wish we had known about an easier entrance as we felt bad that the staff had to help us lug our luggages up.
The staff were warm, welcoming and treated us like we were their personal friends in extending their hospitality. They got Ah Yee to cook delicious noodles for us when we were too tired to go out to eat dinner. The rooms were big and clean. We love the mid century furniture and the decor. Breakfast was generous and hearty. Rebecca reached out to me offering assistance the minute I made the booking, and came to meet us even though she was on leave.

GermanyThe staff was incredibly kind and accomodating, especially Lucky and Rebecca were lovely and extremely helpful when planning our activities. The hotel is situated in a calm area next to the university and close to Chonquing Ancient town. All other places can be reached by taxi, subway or by foot. The room was quiet and very clean. A place i will return to if i get to visit Chonquing again. We really felt at home away from home :)

Throughout our stay, the hotel team went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed, always with a smile and a helpful attitude. Their hospitality made our trip to China even more special, and I can’t express enough gratitude for the outstanding service we received. GermanyNothing, even though the location is slightly away from central of bustling chongqing, it is still the best location to get a quiet accommodation, possible to access bus to Ciqikou with 10min walk, and taking taxi by apps is so convenient, and it is very affordable in Chongqing to take taxi for short distance. Couldn't really say anything which we don't like about the hotel.
It is not a surprised to maintain consistently 10.0 with over 100 reviews, Rebecca and the team have strived for the best for the guests and are always ready to go extra miles. Good selection of local breakfast including freshly cooked chongqing noodles upon order, options of tea, freshly ground coffee, being attentive to our need during the stay, good advice and even written instructions for the tour, sending us to the train station, accompanying us to bus station and showing us how to take bus, setting up payment methods in China, reminding us on the safety precautions, free laundry everyday, additional tea in the room with lovely teapot...non-exhausting list to what the team has tried to make our stay the best stay ever.

NetherlandsVery good for value but be ware to take a Didi taxi to or from the nearest metro. This only costs ¥10 per ride which is nothing compared to the personal service and comfortable ambiance.
Rebecca and her team are dedicated to let you feel very welcome. The offered rides, the flexibility and the free laundry are most appreciated. The room is spacious and the bed provides a good night rest.
