My friend and I didn't think it's safe to walk from the hotel to downtown because of the narrow road which is a busy road. However, it's the hotel location that makes it charming.

Location of the eco hotel is stunning and I love the veranda for relaxing. Food is delicious and the owner Doris is super friendly and welcoming.

Everything is perfect from the finca itself: beautiful, traditional with literally everything you need to the location: completely remote in the middle of fields with horses, cows and other farm animals. My kids loved petting the dogs and playing in the playground. But the real jewel is the owner Doris, the mom / grandma everyone wishes for. She is there paying attention to every details and makes sure you have all you need. Her cooking with Fabiola is the best. Huge breakfast changing everyday. She will support you in organizing everything you need. We did a horse tour with her horses and it was amazing. Do not stay 1 night. We stayed 4 and did not want to leave.

We had a fantastic one-night stay at this finca. Our bedroom was spacious, clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, with wide windows offering an almost 180-degree view of the breathtaking mountains. The surroundings were full of life with lots of birds, even a cute funny parrot. Doris, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. Her warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel truly welcome. The buffet breakfast and dinner were delicious and plentiful, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. After leaving, we accidentally left behind a pair of shoes. Despite it being our mistake, Doris didn’t hesitate to sent them to Cali for us, for that we are truly thankful. Unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to go hiking or horse riding, but we're definitely coming back for a longer stay. Thanks for the wonderful stay, Doris! Highly recommended.

We had the most idyllic stay at this eco-hotel thanks to the owner Doris and her staff! Tucked away in a secluded area, it offered an incredibly peaceful and serene atmosphere with breathtaking views all around. The staff were incredibly friendly, always going above and beyond to make us feel right at home. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious, and the convenience of having all activities and transportation arranged made our stay effortless. If you're looking for comfort, beauty, and a tranquil escape, this is the perfect place! It was the highlight of our trip to Colombia.

Everything was awesome. The place is beautiful! Doris was just the perfect host! She will sort out anything you need! Even if you come from a long day she will sort your dinner out so you can find warm food :). Doris will call taxis if you need them at very good rates, so you actually don't need a car. Even from and to the airports.

We just had the best time at this Finca. Doris and her staff are doing all their best to make you feel happy. The Finca is a 10min taxi ride (25’000COP) away from Salento and Doris can always help you with transports to the area. I can highly recommend the horse riding tour with their own horses and the tour guide Oliviero. Breakfast and also all the other meals you can get for lunch and dinner are delicious and prepared with so much love. The rooms are perfectly clean and laundry service was great too.

Doris and her team were so friendly and kind, very warm atmosphere, everything was taken care of. The Finca is a little outside of Salento (approx. 10mins by taxi) with beautiful views and lots of animals around (cows, horses, dogs).

Just a note: access could be tricky as you need to go through a couple of kilometers of unpaved road to get to the hotel. We had our own car, which is fairly high off the ground, and luckily had good weather during our stay, so we didn’t have any trouble whatsoever. However, in heavy rain, it could be a different story. In any case, the host is very helpful and will help organize transportation to and from the hotel if needed.

Amazing place, gorgeous location in the middle of the mountains, beautiful facilities in the style of traditional Colombian "Finca". Food is superb and the staff is super helpful and friendly. I recommend doing the horse-riding experience they offer, truly unforgettable :)

The drive to the property once you leave the main highway is rough. Unpaved and very bumpy for over 1km so would suggest getting an SUV or van as the small taxi we took struggled to make it. If you don’t have a car reach out to the property and they help you arrange proper transportation.

The finca is located near Salento & the property is stunning. You are surrounded by nature, lots of animals & things to do. The rooms are traditional and simple but you have everything you need. It’s peaceful and Doris and her staff treat you like family & are so sweet. We had the best food here (thanks to Fabiola!) & since we didn’t have a vehicle Doris helped us arrange tours and transportation. We also did horseback riding at the finca and it was an amazing experience, a must for sure if you’re staying here! We travelled with our baby and she was so happy here, exploring and running around. If you want an authentic and excellent experience of Colombia’s coffee region stay here! Can’t wait to be back one day.

We loved this place! We felt like we were visiting family. Dora and her staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and always ready to help with any request or question we might have. It's wonderful to relax, spend some time at the finca, enjoy a wonderful hike to a waterfall in the surroundings or visit the Valle de Cocora or Salento, only 15 min drive. We definitely recommend this place!

The experience was unforgettable, the house is located in the middle of nature which allows you to enjoy the environment, many activities, morney coffee.. and 15 mins away from Salento and el Cocora. As colombian, really recommend it! Especially the owners (two sisters) are extremely friendly and will make you feel at home!

Please note, that the Finca is located about 1.5km km away from the main road to Salento and only accessible via a gravel road (4x4 not required).

First of all Doris is a fantastic host (i would rate her 11* if possible) and did absolutely everything to make our stay as comfortable and great as possible. She made us feel like a part of the family and helped with everything to make our stay a great experience, such as organizing transportation, trips and great food and drinks. Besides trips to Salento, coffee farms and the Cocora Valley, i can recommend to discover the area arround the finca incl. viewpoints and waterfalls on horseback with a guide, which was absolutely great (no experience required). The rooms are rather simple but very clean and equipped with good working hot showers, which is not always standard in Colombia. The breakfast is individually and freshly prepared and includes hot drinks, natural juice, fruit, eggs, bread, muesli and joghurt and differs every day. The finca offers transportation to Salento, which is a 10 min drive. All in all Finca la Playa is the perfect place, if you want to stay at an authentic finca in the middle of the stunning landscape of the Salento region.
