the Majordomo Fernanda was brilliant...our son was catching a 6, 7am bus back to Amazon and without any notice or preplanning she wouldn't let him getaway without a proper box lunch. Breakfast was included and provided fresh start for the day..always nice choices & the option of more fruit rather than fries or potatoes or ?
We shared a room with our son and it was spacious, beds were comfortable and hot water consistent. The pool area is very large and private with much shade in a beautiful garden setting . Provisions for all manner of food and drink and to be waited on by friendly staff
The fine kitchen and patio are available for guests just about anytime and provide for what you want beyond the gardens to the pool
Lots of joy, laughter and celebration by the pool..well done

Absolutely beautiful property. Lush gardens featuring fruit trees, vegetables, and herbs used in preparing an excellent breakfast and the best dinner I had in Ecuador. I ordered it 2 nights in a row. Clean pool, hot shower, very comfortable room, and common areas with antiques. Quiet countryside feeling, but close to Quito airport. Family owned and operated, including dogs and chickens. Good wifi. Airport taxis arranged for me.

My wife and I travel a lot. We are in hotels for two to three months in a year. This is one of the best properties we have stayed in.
The manager’s name is Wilmer. I knew his name before I arrived at the property due to his excellent prior communication. He was present without being intrusive and willing to be of service. The rest of the staff are friendly and attentive.
The property is lovely. We stayed in the large king suite. It is a beautiful room filled with period furniture. There are beautiful spaces in the hotel such as the garden area.
The location is a five to seven minute walk from the city center. There are many good restaurants within walking distance.

Casa del Viajero is a gem. Family-owned and operated, the property is lovingly maintained with a beautiful, tranquil garden that attracts legions of birds and butterflies. The hosts are gracious and welcoming, providing just the right balance of attention and respect for privacy. The food was fresh, organic and delicious, and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It is convenient to the airport so there is occasional airplane noise but it is a minor issue. I really enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend it to travelers looking for a peaceful respite.
