The view is amazing! Pool area has a view to the canal which was also nice It is a quick boat ride to the city center and park Staff was nice with us in general Cheap comparing to many in the area

The room. There is zero zero phonic insullation between the rooms. You hear the people in the next room, the same as they really were in your room. There's no intmacy at all.

It was fun to take a water taxi to the town and Tortuguero beach and the view from Cerro Tortuguero was amazing.

breakfast is of a low standard location is ok, but you need to take a taxi boat at $4 per person one way, so every time the 4 of is when to Tortuguero it would cost $40 for 5 mins

The rooms are tired and in need of modernisation. One bed in our room was broken. The bathrooms were worn out. The breakfast wasn't of a great standard.

Andres, the manager/main reception was superb. His attention to detail and help was the most impressive element of the hotel. The location was good (though you needed a water taxi to get to the village - $4 per person per trip). The swimming pool area was good.

You can hear your room neighbors all the time. The food isn't the best but it's ok.

The pool was nice and the rooms as well. Even though you are in the middle of the jungle you have a lot of amenities. The pool was nice to have and u can spot some animals near the lodge.

We enjoyed it all! There is no air conditioning, and it can get somewhat hot, but there are ceiling fans.

La Baula Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. The accommodations are simple but nice. The setting is gorgeous. Beautiful scenery, well-maintained gardens, and lots of wildlife (monkeys, sloths, toucans, iguanas, etc.). The pool was a big hit with our family. We loved reaching the place by boat, and taking a boat taxi to the nearby small village. The staff was very helpful. The meals at the hotel were fine - not a huge amount a variety, but what was served was good.

The food quality is not very good for the price. And it's a bit annoying that you have to preorder the food. To other restaurants you have to take a boat for 3 Dollar each person.

It was very clean and you have a really nice view on the river! The guide from the hotel, called Mao, is amazing and a really nice local guy. He told us a lot of stories and showed us many plants and animals.

The food options could do with some work for lunch and dinner. some small options like sandwiches or avocado/ gallos pinto a la carte instead of having to have the main dish all the time would be good as it gets expensive. breakfast was delicious. the bathroom was a bit in need of a refresh but the rooms were nicely painted in bright colours.

the beautiful gardens and peaceful setting- amazing wildlife right in the gardens. Our guide for the turtle tour Dino was wonderful. The front desk were very helpful and friendly. A lovely welcome drink on arrival. Fabulous boat trip to Moins for onward travel.
