Signage on twisty mountainside road access wasn't helpful. The restaurant on the property is seperate from the surrounding hotel units, but called up the owners to check us in.

Great value at a very nice location. The views in the morning and at night were great. Room interior and patio were tiled impeccably. Breakfast alfresco was very nice in this higher altitude, for us 'Northern gringos'.

The facility fully met our expectations. For this price it was hard to expect more. Not far from the airport (45 min by car) - perfect as a starting point for visiting the DOKA coffee plantation, POAZ volcano or LaPaz gardens. After a full day of sightseeing it was very nice to relax in the pool. On site restaurant was not working but there are several supermarkets and restaurants in the area (if you want to stay here unfortunately you have to have a car). Very nice host.

So so minor but the only tiny things were perhaps having a clearer reception or person to greet you; the woman who met us wasn't the owner and seemed a little surprised to see us. We didn't know who to address with questions. And some cups for water and a coffee maker in the room would have been fab - we liked staying in the grounds but a way to get a coffee would have been fab - some clearer communication on breakfast and things like this would have gone a long way. Still, we had a great stay for very little money and I'd highly recommend this place.

My partner and I had a lovely early Valentine's stay here, the owner went above and beyond to put some extra romantic touches in the room. Spotlessly clean room and incredible view over San Jose and the mountains, seeing eagles fly by. The pool was likewise crystal clear and such a great bonus on a hot day. It was super quiet and relaxing. And a hot shower! The food is incredible - some of the best pasta I've ever had outside of Italy.

the Resturant was advertised as open but it was closed both nights and days so, morning coffee is out of question! there isn’t a mini fridge at the room ( at least our room ) so plan for breakfast lunch and dinner accordingly. also we didn’t see any staff during our stay. may be they avoided us due to lack of language ( unfortunately our Spanish is non existent) we didn’t mind it but it may be handy to get some information as in where to eat etc..

It wasn't warm water in the shower. Any moskito net's, in the evening a lot of big ants were coming to the room they were everywhere. We could feel much beter sleeping under a net. On the tarace small kitchen, shame that was not more supply's there. All please was beter that we expected. We would stay there again.

Having small solar lights and some rock added to the way to the rooms would have been an added bonus. I would also add it would be helpful in decreasing mud in the rainy season. We were here in Oct the rainiest month of the year, so it may not be an issue in the remaining months.

The staff is very friendly, from the moment we arrived through departure the exceeded our expectations. The restaurant on site was also fantastic making our stay even more relaxing.

Very confusing stay. The name of the place is different than what we booked. There is a restaurant but they are not part of the hotel and there is a pool but not clear if we could use it as it appeared connected to the restaurant. Check-in involved wandering around in the dark until a dog barked and then someone appeared but as the name was different than what was booked there was more confusion…. If you had questions you had to search for someone at their house…a rat or bird scratching around in the ceiling woke us and other guests up at about 4:00am.

The dogs who barked at 5.30 am. And the gardener when cut green at 8am just in the front of your door for hours..... We want quietness when we go in a hotel near an airport in holidays. You know this is the end of the trip, so we have to relax...many beasts/insects at night time. Maybe a mosquito protection would be great. And the restaurant was closed, we were not warned about that. That changes everything because no microwave, nothing to boil water for making a tea or coffee And a bit cold in this area at night and when wet season is coming. And a brush/mop would be good to clean the floor. And the bed mattress was dying. Too soft, too old

It was sometimes hard to find our host for checking in and checking out. She didn't speak much English and I speak next to no Spanish, but we managed quite well once we connected. A ceiling fan would be a nice addition. Cash payment is preferred.

The best thing about this property is the gem of a restaurant, Pura Italia, that is within a few feet. The pizza we had there is honestly one of the best I've ever had! The room we stayed in had a spectacular view of the mountains. Below our balcony was a hedge of hibiscus with hummingbirds everywhere. Very clean room and had hot water for the shower.
