The location was great for the things we wanted to visit. We used the pool everyday for heat relief. The rooms had air conditioning which was great for us esp since we had a 1yo and we didn’t want her over-heating.

Costa RicaThey charge me $25 per night for my dog, excessive!! To get there from Liberia city you pass by the local dump and it's not nice and is better to travel by day through this road. The other way is from Bagaces but it's further, not worth it.
Very nice room, the balcony and view beautiful. You have a mini refrigerator but you have to buy what you need at Liberia because there's no mini market near by. The food at the restaurant delicious, fresh and natural. A great place to relax and disconnect.

CanadaWe took the night jungle forest tour however it went beyond the 2 hour period. It had actually taken 3 hours. We thought it was too long considering that we had reserved our supper at the Lodge.
We enjoyed our stay at the Lodge including the various facilities such as the pool and the relaxing area in front of our room. Breakfast was good and complete.

A beautiful, cozy lodge. Lovely grounds! The staff were wonderful, warm and friendly. David is a great manager. Anthony was so kind and helpful. Jose arranged an amazing day adventure for us. Food is good in the restaurant. Nice swimming pool. Beds were a bit on the hard side, but nice linens made it ok. The shower was a bit of a challenge, but it had hot water and we made it work. Our room was at the top of the property, also a challenge but we are in good enough shape to handle it. Ask for a lower room if walking is an issue. That said, Anthony was extremely helpful with our luggage.

United States of AmericaRoads to get here aren't great, but it's inland Costa Rica - this shouldn't be surprising! There also were some ants in the bathroom and on the counter. This location is quite remote, so keep that in mind with your expectations! We had a minor power outage (literally the entire resort) lost power for about 10mins one night when we were there.
Breakfast was really great! I also highly recommend getting the option for breakfast included as there are not many food places nearby (really none unless you're willing to drive >20mins). The property is also neat - the pool was kept up well and there was a hiking trail you could catch from their property to waterfalls and a viewpoint which was nice! We had a broken AC unit in the first room we got and were moved to a different room right away! Hammocks on the room patios were a nice touch!

United States of AmericaThe one issue I had was that they use a set conversion rate all month instead of the current conversion. Since I was charged in colones, it actually ended up being slightly more expensive than what I was quoted on Booking.com. The lesson I learned was to always check the conversion and pay in dollars if it ends up being cheaper!
This hotel is SO charming, and even more beautiful in person than the pictures online. It is peaceful and secluded, and the hammocks on the porch of the room were a perfect place to relax. I loved the breakfast! The hotel restaurant was also quite tasty and reasonably priced compared to other places in Costa Rica. We hiked the trail on the property which was beautiful as well. The manager of the hotel was very friendly and gave us a lot of good information.

GermanyThere was a confusion on our reservation and they charged us 20 usd extra for the breakfast of 1 person. It was unfortunately the worst breakfast we had in Costa Rica. At night it was quite windy and noisy. It sounded like there was stuff falling om the roof and that was quite loud and disturbing.
Great spacious rooms with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. We loved the hammock at the balcony and got to see quite alot of birds here. The green parrots and tucans were our favorite. The restaurant has a good selection of food.

Buffet style breakfast was very good. The dinner menu was limited but good and reasonably priced. Nice creek side hiking trail adjacent to the property. This area is a cool break from the heat of the beaches, less than an hour from Liberia yet surprisingly remote.
