Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We liked everything!
Breakfast was great, the front office staff were SO kind. The hotel front door stayed locked so we felt very safe. The hotel was close to downtown!

The safe in the hotel room didn't work.
Jakub at reception made us feel very welcome, he's an amazing guy and Arbes hotel should feel very lucky to have him work there. Top bloke.

Could not fault anything
Very friendly staff, and the perfect location close to Andel, with its bars, shops, food places etc. price was amazing, and an ideal hotel for budget travellers. Rooms were comfortable. So easy from airport, bus 59, tram 20, jobs a good ‘in.

Not enough electrical outlets (sockets) in the room (all were under table, so no easily accessible). Breakfast could have more variety of food

The mattress could be softer and the shower head was a bit low as I’m quite tall. Fridge in minibar hums when its cooling. No dealbreakers though.
great value for money. Definitely with the breakfast being included. Location is good. Very close to public transport which takes you into city centre within 10 minutes. Little supermarket just across the road and some lovely restaurants nearby. Decent size rooms. Coffee and tea facilities in the room. Friendly staff. This was my second stay here and I am planning to come back

Our stay in the hotel was great: the staff was kind and helpful, the room was clean, cozy and warm and there was a wide variety of choices for breakfast. The position of the hotel itself is great: near to Alden metro station and bus stops, close to a big shopping mall.

The internet on the room was nonexistent

There were almost no outlets available and it was a bit dark in the rooms. The heating would shut off after 12 every night, but the room stayed warm enough for sleeping.
Great location and very friendly staff. Breakfast was also nice and the bed was very comfortable.

The bed was rock hard and the pillows barely had anything in them. Getting into the tub for a shower could be rough for some as it was a high step to get in...there was a grab bar in the tub to help.
Breakfast was very good. Our room had the shower and sink in one room and the toilet in another which was helpful with three in the room. The toilet room did have a certain smell to it though that was "funky." The room was cleaned everyday with new towels. Good elevator. Very convenient location in a safe neighborhood. Friendly staff, especially Olga at the front desk...very pleasant and helpful, even when dealing with people who were nasty and cranky!

Our group had three rooms and all of them were different sizes, though the price was same, our room was tiny and cold as it was in the corner of the building. Other two rooms were normal size and warm. There it seemed that the room was clean but there were spider webs on the ceiling.
It has a good location, 2 min walk to tram stop, 25 min walk to Charle’s Bridge. Staff is very nice! Breakfast is unexpectedly good for this size of hotel.

The only thing I would improve is a warmer blanket or some option of an extra throw over, especially during winter.
It's a lovely location, very clean hotel, good breakfast, good price and nice staff. Definitely recommend!
