Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Loudness, the music from the bar is noticable even on second floor. Food in the bar not worth its prize (pizza from refrigerator)

The room is just too small for the size of the furniture. The beds have sharp edges with tripping points and the tv is set way out from the wall to be hit at shoulder height when passing the bed.

The rooms are not cleaned at all during the stay. The only thing they do is to take the garbage from the bin and this is all. Nothing else. Not even some empty bottles near it. The sink was clogged up and got full of water every day. After two days it become a complete mess and the cleaning service did not even touch it.
The hotel is close to the railway station, the staff is very nice.

Some of the room mates were noisy during the night (snoring), so I couldn't sleep at all. but it has nothing to do with the hostel.
The room and bathroom were clean. The receptionist was very patient and welcoming (I think his name was Junaid - Thank you :)). The staff in general was welcoming. I didn't hear any noise from outside the room (maybe because I was in the fourth floor).

We came across a teenager group. It's normal for these age but so it was noisy :) sound insulation is not good, if you are tired enough you can sleep ☺
Location is good, train station and supermarket are so near. Room is clean. Room is small a little bit but it was enough for only 2 night.

friends of mine were thrown out of their room after falsely being accused of smoking in the room by the securities who were very rude.

You can hear everything from the corridor. The hostel allowes accomodation of children and we had room full of children on our floor, but their parents/teachers were not on the same floor. So the children were shouting and knocking on our door every morning and night. Some corners in the bathroom would need to be cleaned properly. Also the journey to the hotel during night is pretty dark, there are not many lamps when going there from the main train station.
The hotel is nearby main train station. The beds were comfortable and overall the room was clean. We could also store our luggage there after the check out.

When I sent a message to clean the room and they didn't clean it. If you want, you need to scan a qr before 12pm. They don't tell you when you arrive... It was a small problem because I needed towels after a long day outside. After that I explained the situation and they solve the problem.
Good breakfast and the beds were comfortable.

The bed had potato chips crumbs from previous guest. Does the hotel staff even check if the beds are left in good conditions for the next guest? The floors also seemed dusty as well as bed frame. A lot of people in one room. Felt very tight.

They do not clean the rooms everyday. Too many students and best to match dorms to age groups of guests. I broke out in excema as they do not clean rooms

The only issue was that there was someone’s razor left in the shower… And that’s rather gross. Made me doubt if the room was properly cleaned.
Perfect location, nice staff at the reception desk, quick check in, overall the room was comfortable for a short stay.
