Friendly, helpful, excellent buffet breakfast, close to everything, quiet, excellent restaurant. Can’t wait to go back and highly recommend. We also had a balcony with view of castle.

Unbelievable little hotel, unbelievable location, unbelievable price. We got the last room available online and were upgraded when we arrived. The room was so charming and large with multiple windows. View of the castle. Very clean and comfortable. Very romantic setting. Restaurant was so delicious and the manager on duty was very kind and friendly, giving great information and advice for our stay. Parking was right across the street and very inexpensive. Can't believe we got a room here!

The bed mattresses were very thin. Rooms were very small. No space but only for walking around bed. Bathroom also small. There was one guy working at restaurant and he also worked at another one across the street and he was unfortunately very rude and impatient.

Location was perfect! View was beautiful. Breakfast the best we had. Basic but fresh and tasty.

Perfect location for a few days of viewing mountains and castles. Staff is very nice. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The location can't be beat. The room was spacious and quiet. It had everything we needed.

That we were treated with snow in the middle of April. Unfortunately this was beyond their control.

The buffet breakfast that was included with the room was more than ample to meet anyone's needs. The location for the castles was perfect since it was less than 100 yards from the ticket office, and the starting point for both the carriage or bus rides. And if anyone cared to eat at their restaurant then you are in for treat since everything that my wife and I ate was truly delicious.

Very spacious room. Good choices for breakfast and a nice coxy restaurant. We shared a 2-person meal and it was delicious. Very close to both castles and the museum. Literally walking distance. Apparently they also supply bus passes but we didn't request one.

Although the breakfast is very rich and varied, I tasted a creamy cheese with some spices and I felt bad for two days. I cannot firmly say that it is because of the quality of the cheese, but I felt a strange taste while eating and I'm quite sure it was the cause of my illness.

Very nice hotel and rooms. The location is great, right near the ticket center for the castle. The hotel has a very large terrace to enjoy a cold beer, an indoor restaurant and a souvenir shop. The room has a big and confortable bed, a closet, tv and a very nice balcony with chairs and table to admire the beautiful surroundings. Parking available for guests.

It ended up no problem throughout night while sleeping, but heater took a while to heat up room.

Nice and comfortable setting, newly renovated facilities, friendly staff members(professional services. A male staff at check-in was really nice.) and super clean room! Also castle view was plus!! Restaurant foods were amazing!!! This was the very first time we ever ate great German foods. (Luca was our server. I wish I remember everybody’s name but ladies at breakfast time were also nice and helpful.) Thank you all of staff members at Alpenstuben. I will come back if I have a chance again!

Location is perfect for enjoying the view of the Neuschweinstein Castle and visit the area. Very convenient with a nice restaurant inside, a Biergarten and the ticket center right next door.
