The bathrooms could have had an extra towel or two.

My single room was clean and cozy, and the bathroom facilities were quite spacious and new. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is most convenient with easy access to metro, train and bus.

On one day, I was asked to leave the breakfast room for the only reason that the buffet had been closed 30 minutes earlier. I was not in the way, and the breakfast room was open and empty for at least another hour. I was about to leave anyway, but I don't think this would have happened if I hadn't been the only person left. That staff member was also the only one who never greeted me and didn't even reply when I greeted her. When I told her why I wasn't happy with that attitude she just walked away and ignored me. I complained about this at reception. The staff member promised me to pass on the message, but I never heard back about it. When I checked out I was asked if everything was ok, so I mentioned this incident. She just asked me if all other staff members in the breakfast room had been friendly, which I confirmed, but didn't apologise for how that person had treated me or promise to make sure it won't happen again. Something similar happened during my last stay which I had hoped to settle internally. From now on, I'll mention such incidents in my evaluations.

The hotel is very centrally located. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom was very nice and spacious. The breakfast buffet offers a large variety.

The luggage room is on the first floor. The floor itself can be reached by elevator but the suitcases then need to be pushed along a narrow corridor and carried down several steps. The room itself is very narrow. The staff was rather unwilling to help (my husband is 88). There is a leaflet with information on the luggage room/internet etc. but this was only handed to us when we were leaving.

There are two things that should be taken into account. First, the wifi isn’t working for the 5th floor, a wifi extender should be installed for this floor. Secondly, even though the location of the hotel is extremely convenient for transportation, people should be aware that it can get really busy and loud, even during the night. We didn’t really mind but this varies from person to person and could pose a problem to others.

We had a very pleasant stay overall. The staff was polite, friendly and always happy to assist us. The room we stayed in was on the 5th floor , overlooking the station and the town. The room itself was comfortable, cleaned everyday and we enjoyed our stay there. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient if you plan on using public transportation to move around the city as it is directly opposite the central station of the city. The hotel provided a 3day pass for public transportation which was extremely useful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we would recommend this hotel.

WiFi: was not working well it was getting disconnected all the time they needed to improve their system. Public Transport Pass: upon my check in they gave me a pass to ride the public transport for free which is nice BUT they hadn't mentioned it before and I had already bought the ticket at the station, so it would be good if they let people know this benefit via a message before the arrival. Communication: all their communication was only in German, they need to provide info/instructions in English as well.

Would have been difficult to get to some places in hotel if you have mobility issues. Great for a one night stay. I expect could be noisy.

City pass was a nice touch to get around Hamburg. Breakfast was good. Opposite the train station so excellent.
