The hostel is located under and is administered by a pub. The entrance is quite hard to find (it took us a while to find it, and during our week there we saw many people confused when looking for the hostel). The check-in hours are during a limited period of the day and whereas the hostel did e-mail us explaining this, it was super inconvenient for us given that the Deutsche Bahn changed our travelling schedule in the last minute (when we arrived outside of check-in time, the guy still let us in but with bad attitude and making racist comments -unaware of it- such as saying we have "exotic nationalities" and that he won't even try to say nor spell/write down our names properly). Also, the staff had manually mis-scheduled our arrival for the next day even though our booking confirmation was right, and while it did not affect us, it could have affected us had they given the room to someone else for that day. Moreover, the shared bathroom was f***ing disgusting; I found spiders walking on my bed (which does not bother me, but I am sure it will bother a lot of other people); Wi-Fi was sh** and the reception guy was very annoyed by the amount of times we had to ask for a new password (apparently they have many for the same network) -- the cleaning lady was super nice and helpful, though. Location is not central, although Bonn is a small city and the hostel is just one minute walking time from a tram station.

The best part was when the reception staff/bartender let us check in outside check-in hours (although with bad manners). Beds were comfortable.

the kitchen was not function and only one fredge to serve many rooms is not good. The gentleman staff has not good relationship with customer, has bad language with no respect. Female were good despite not able to express in English but good.

Unfortunately under the bed was not cleaned, the room itself was in a a poor state. Key lock was not properly anchored to the door, making it horrible to open and close the door, A window was not closing, making it impossible to sleep properly and the heating could not be changed, it was way too hot in there, even though I would try to air the room a bit. But most of all, the bathroom was in a disgusting state, but that has to do more with the other clients than the staff.

The room was spacious and mostly clean, all beds were freshly made with clean linen. The room had sufficient windows/light and even a shared balcony. The staff was very friendly.

Dirty. there was a unpleasent smell. The commin bathroom is not cleaned. I had a closet without shelfs or possibility to hang my closes. uppon the closet there was hugh pile of dust and used napkins. One day in the stair case there was a dog poop for at least 45 minutes.

I ended up moving out at 4 am in the morning as the room was not cleaned and had been occupied by someone else before I came in. There was litter everywhere. the Bedsheet, pillow cover, Blanket all were used and had stains and liquid spilled all over. After calling almost for an hour someone picked up and said that they can't do anything about it. They have not even refunded my Money. All my requests to booking and the facility have been ignored.

The room is not arranged properly. The room heater shown in the image is not working, a very pathetic situation. No one was there to help us. It was a horrible experience in the whole night.

It was very dirty and the entire building smelled like pee. The window of my room was closed with TAPE because it didn’t close properly, so all the cold enter through there (I had to put the heater on maximum so I could feel ok). It was extremely noisy

The window of room one is not secured. Bathroom flooded. Cigarette smoke scent in the corridors and too much of noise. I checked out after sleeping only a night due to these. No refund after all.

False advertisment on booking.com: the owner intentionally hides the fact that some of the rooms are at the basement level. You won't find a single photo on booking.com indicating that the room is located below the ground level, and you will have to keep your curtain closed otherwise people on parking lot will see you perfectly (see the photos) Also very noisy, unsafe, crackhouse atmosphere, cigarette smell is unbearable. I couldn't stay at that place an left the next morning despite the fact that i paid for 4 nights upfront back when i found this place at booking.com. The owner refused to refund the money for the rest of 4 nights, he refused to talk with me in English and generally was acting unfriendly. Booking.com offered a laughably pathetic compensation.
