The only thing I didn't like is that the bed was too soft in my opinion but it's a personal preference, overall the bedroom was very nice!

There was nothing we didn't like!

The refurbished elements of the original building are really well done, capturing so many of the original features. Our bedroom and its facilities really suited our needs. The breakfasts were amazing. The hotel is in the Deutz area of the city, just the other side of the river from the centre. Had it not have been so hot, we more than likely would have walked to and fro as it's quite walkable. However, the U-bahn/tram system was so handy we just used that.

Ideal location for concerts at the Lanxess Arena which is just opposite. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. It also has a cosy bar.

Distance to the Cologne old town was just within walking distance. Good for exercise, but might be a little far for some.

Room was very nice with a comfortable bed. The A/C control was easy to use for adjusting the temperature. Bathroom shower was excellent.

It’s a bit further from town center than I anticipated.

The dour male reception staff!

Upon checkin the male reception staff was very dour, but subsequent staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very stylish and clean with a 30 minute walk into the old centre.

I could hear everything going on outside of my hotel room in the hallway. So the room is sadly definitely not soundproof.

The room was big, the bed very comfy, the breakfast was tasty and the hotel is very close to the LANXESS Arena so it is perfect for when you want to go to a concert. I am not sure if it was intentional or not but I as a solo traveling woman got a room right next to the elevators which I appreciated a lot.

I chose this hotel for its fascinating history and unique architecture, and it did not disappoint. One thoughtful feature is the heating lamp in the bathroom. It keeps you warm after a shower and can even help dry your clothes if you get caught in the rain. Quite area. The breakfast buffet is very extensive. The dining room is the heart of the hotel, very spacious, well-organized, and bright. The hotel is well-equipped.
