Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThe hotel could be less expensive. No fridge in a room. Menu for a dinner could be extended to have more sandwiches. But, in general, these are minor issues.
The Hotel is located near Zoologischen Garten which is very useful for connection to Berlin Hbf and to aeroport. Near the hotel there are a lot interesting places because it is near Ku'Dam. In my case it was nice that it is near TU Berlin.

LatviaIf you open the window, you can hear and see the trains on the adjacent tracks (which is not unusual at the station).
Great location in the centre of Berlin West and near the underground/railway station. Excellent public transport links. Shops, cafés and restaurants all around. Hotel and rooms are modern, light and practical. At night, you can enter hotel with the room's electronic key card. Comfortable room with ample space and a cosy bed. Good bathroom.

GermanyThe hotel wasn't aware I'd requested a baby bed. Luckily the hotel wasn't fully booked and housekeeping still on duty, so I was brought a baby bed immediately. The receptionist advised to ring the hotel to confirm such requests when not booking directly with them. A kettle in the room would have been nice.
I was given an upgrade to a larger room, as the baby bed wouldn't fit in the standard rooms. Had a great view of the theatre and was very quiet, despite being a 4 minute walk to the underground Zoologischer Garten. Comfortable bed, stylish rooms, clean, friendly staff. This is my third time staying here.

United KingdomNot a single TV channel in English. No fan in the bathroom.
The hotel is very close to underground and train stations, and near several streets for shopping and eating out. Lots of homeless around. The hotel entrance is straight into a bar counter with seating space which is also for having breakfast, which is not included in the stay, and is on the expensive size, but most are too. Had first breakfast at near coffee house, cheaper still at the hotel. The room is compact but neat, clean and comfy, bed and pillow fine too. Bathroom fine, except for lack of fan to dissipate smells and condensation, but good hairdryer. Room overlooking rail lines, trains running all the time except late night/early morning but double glazing keeps most noise out. WiFi works well. Overall, a good hotel.

AustriaThe room was a bit unpractical in terms of there not being a suitable place to put a larger suitcase (and accordingly not that many wardrobe hanging or storage options). Considering the stay in this hotel was a part of a longer trip for me, i had a big suitcase, the one you can't take on board as a hand luggage on a plane. It seems this room has been designed with weekend travellers in mind who typically have travel bags or smaller suitcases with them. But the amenities in the room overall were just right for what one needs on a trip, not more and not less.
People who work here seem like they really love their job and that makes all the difference! The price for the value and the location was also a positive surprise.

GermanyOn the negative side, I didn’t enjoy the fact that the flooring of the room was carpeted. I find carpet unhygienic and there were no disposable shoes/slippers. I liked the fact that there was a good choice of vegan products at the breakfast buffet, although I am not vegan myself and would have certainly enjoyed a full English breakfast. Unfortunately, there was no hot food apart from the boiled eggs. On one of the plates there was cheese and meat placed togehter, not good for vegetariens. I found the breakfast very uninspiring, overprized and had I stayed longer, I would have had breakfast in one of the many excellent cafes surrounding the hotel. One could hear the trains through the closed windows, which is not everyones cup of tea.
I chose Motel One "Kantstrasse" because of its central location close to the Ku’damm and all the public transport facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly, from the receptionists to the cleaners. All electric appliances worked, nothing was out of order. The room was clean.

GermanyThere was no fan or exhaust in the bathroom. With the air conditioning on we didn't want to open the window and the room got quite humid after showering. We did open the window at first but it was over 30C outside.. We would have appreciated a small fridge and coffee maker in the room.
The staff was helpful and friendly. The beds comfortable. Bathroom a bit small but new and nice towels.
