Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Awful internet: Mostly no internet in the rooms or too slow connection. You can have a fair connection in the dining room, but sometimes it just disappears (probably they switch it off so that people don’t take seats for long surfing web). Twin beds: If you are a couple, you will have troubles lying in beds because they don’t have doubles. Mattresses are separate and you will fall between them, if you want to sleep together (but a good one if you don’t really like cuddling in bed). Old building: The interior is old, painted in Soviet style.
Perfect location: you can travel from nearby Zoo station to almost anywhere. Best shopping experience in 5-10 minutes walk. Nice and cozy park in 10-20 minutes walk. Excellent breakfast: Good choice of meals for the breakfast, you will always be full.

The bedroom balcony was not clean... cigarette butts and a can of beer used as an ashtray by the previous guest/s. I informed the lady at reception and she seemed completely unbothered. The carpet in the bedroom was not very clean...and lots of dust.

Very minorly, the sink in the bathroom was not working as it should, but it did not affect my stay, at all.
Very cosy room in an exceedingly beautiful building at Kudamm. Highly recommendable hotel.

Entrance and staff
The entrance was ugly with a grubby carpet and the reception staff terrible, but the beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and clean.

The room is very small and looks a bit old so it’s not like how it is on the pictures, the blind have to be closed cos they can see inside the room from the other room… walls are very thin u can hear everything… building is also old…

Our room was really hot (in February) we could not control the heating and we had to sleep with open window, also the pillows were too soft, not comfortable, the walls are thin you can hear everything.
Location is really good, breakfast was nice, the hotel interior is also nice, the building is really old but it had its charm.

The noise at 6am because of the renovations, it was so irritating.
Its not very far from the Zoologica Tram station and is surrounded by all amenities (restaurant, entertainment, bars).

The entrance of the hotel has so much potential, it grand and historical with art on the ceiling but the flooring and stairs is awful looking. Held together with worn gaffer tape...put in some nice tapestry or just new laminate.
Good clean comfy bed. Nice high ceilings in the room and very clean and comfortable bathroom, hot shower and spotless. Typical German/Berling grand building. Good breakfast buffet a bit expensive but you can take some buns or egg with you along for lunch as well.

Very poor sound insulation.You can hear people in the neighboring rooms and in the hallway. There were young people walking along the corridor at night, making noise and laughing loudly. I do not understand why the staff who stays at the reception around the clock does not prevent this, because after an active day, the guests want to relax and sleep. It is also advisable that guests are not greeted late at night by a tipsy man next to the reception.
A cosy hotel in a beautiful and safe area. Nearby there are shops, restaurants and cafes, park and sights. It is convenient and fast to get to the city center by public transport. The rooms are clean and warm.

The carpet in the staircase could be freshened up.
