Really excellent value for money. This is a small private hotel without many facilities but the rooms are great and breakfast is very good andthe staff very helpful and willing. A fantastic place for basing your visit to Heidelberg.

We were totally surprised and then happy when our corner room, booked only several days before and located on the 3rd floor of this small but very fine hotel, had a slanted ceiling, a dormer window and skylights, offered us a superb and unexpected view of the River, the Castle and the Old Bridge -- and the entire Skyline inbetween. Wow! And this on New Years Eve when throngs of people were on the streets shooting off their fireworks over the Bridge, the river, the town... What a show! And we had the crow' nest view. And when we had enjoyed it all, we closed the skylights and the room was totally quiet although the Party on the streets below continued well into the night. The little bathroom was bright and modern, the beds totally comfortable. Breakfast offered everything one could wish for and was served in an old, charming, beautiful, vaultet-ceiling cellar under the hotel. This hotel is a Heidelberg gem and we shall definitely return.

Super location for the Old town, Xmas markets, castle etc. We have stayed here before and it was just as great as last time. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms spotlessly clean and comfy. Great for a short stay.

One of the best breakfasts we have ever had. The location is great because it is in the Altstadt but also right next to the bus station in case you get to Heidelberg by train. Great, comfortable and very clean room. Finally, a very nice and communicative staff. Highly recommend.

The small step down into the bathroom is what stubbed toes are made of, so definitely pay attention! There's also no parking close to the hotel, so if you have a car you'll want to drop your bag off and then go to a nearby parking garage (the closest one is less than a 10 minute walk away).

This is a great little hotel on the river, right on the edge of Heidelberg's Old Town. You can walk to all the main sites from the hotel. Breakfast in the historic cellar was very cool. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the staff is very nice. We were even able to check in early.

Location is great, close to the Hauptstrasse, University area,, Market Sq.The Hotel is quaint, but an enjoyable change from more modern ones. The room was comfortable, and very clean.

Perfectly located to everything! Beautiful, comfy, charming room along the Neckar River. Very secure entry process. Clean! Sound proofed tall windows afforded us a lovely view. An easy walk to quaint streets, the market square, the Old Bridge & Heidelberg Castle. Jessica & Chris were very accommodating and helpful. Very thorough directions/instructions for loading/unloading & where to park were provided ahead of time. Breakfast in the cellar was exceptional!

My husband and I stayed the end of September and couldn't have been any more happier with the Hotel. The staff was so helpful and the location was perfect. Our room was so nice and large and had an incredible view of the Old Bridge and River. Thanks for making our stay in Heidelberg perfect. We would definatly stay here again.

We were disappointed in our bed. The mattress was extraordinarily hard to our preferences, and we did not rest comfortably. Other than that the room was fine.

It would be nice to have an access to minibar or vending machine with drinks and snacks for people arriving late when shops are closed.

The room was a tiny single room "unter dach" (under the eaves). But it had a nice attached bath, a comfy bed, and a great view (see photo below, taken from the hallway outside my room). The location can't be beat (just steps from the alte Brücke (the old bridge) and the Haupt Strasse (the main pedestrian street). And yet it was quiet. And the breakfast was quite nice as well.
