Absolutely nothing!

Kootney Resorts is amazing, wonderful gardens to enjoy whilst sitting on the patio. Everything you need is in the cottage and the hosts are wonderful.

We spent a wonderful week at Kootney Resorts. The experience was fantastic, thanks to Trish, the owner, who was incredibly helpful in suggesting great restaurants, trips, and hikes for us. The resort, with its 15 cottages, was beautifully serene, surrounded by plenty of trees and tranquility. The cottages were excellent, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We stayed at Kootney resorts for 7 nights. The accommodation was well equipped including a TV with netflix everything was exceptionally clean.. The bed was huge and comfortable and the walk- in shower was the biggest I'd ever seen. The seated outside patio had a great view of the rainforest and we were lucky to see parrots everyday. Great value for money. Hope to stay there again one day.

Charming, cosy cottage in delightful surroundings. We had everything we needed for a self-catering holiday. Our hosts, Trish and Kyle, were kind and helpful.We suggest hiring a car to make the most of seeing all this beautiful island has to offer. Excellent value for money.

Silent location with close distance to many activities and beautiful beaches. The bungalow was nice and clean with everything you need. Trish and Kyle are very nice and supportive with a lot of knowledge about the islands, many thanks again for everything

Nice and quiet location, clean and comfortable cottage, with complete kitchen equipment and mosquito netting on all windows. A good bed and a good working airconditioning in the bedroom and nice to have a ceiling fan in the living room and bedroom. Trish and Kyle are very friendly and hospitable and always helpful with tips and advice. Good location to discover the northwest, and walking distance to the sea and some restaurants.

The AC could be more effective if the doors connecting to the wardrobe and bathroom were solid rather than made of slats? Wasn't an issue for me at all, but just a thought.

Lovely place run by lovely, friendly and welcoming people. They also have a couple of very good dogs to greet you! The check-in included many local and farther-away recommendations which were spot on.

We loved the place itself, really nicely maintained, big bedroom, loved the toilet and all the nature around it! Nice place to meet the north of the island and not that far from the Trois pitton national park! Amazing!

Because you are on a tropical island, there are some ant issues. This is probably unavoidable at any place on the island, however we quickly learned that if you left even a crumb out, you were going to have an ant party. I think providing the guests with some Raid would be a great way to help with this. Honestly, that is my only comment.

Our host was great, Trish welcomed us and showed us around as well as told us some spots we couldn't miss. The WIFI is by far the best we had in all of our 3 months of traveling. It was a great digital nomad option. We were close to a lot of really cool things as well, as long as you have a car, the entire island is at your finger tips.

One of two bedrooms had an old noisy AC.

We got an upgrade to a 2 bedroom house. Everything was just good. Especially the kitchen equipment including knifes were extraordinarily good. Great porch for breakfast. Birds were singing during the day and cicada at night. Tropical paradise! Buildings are older but newly renovated. Easy parking, shopping and restaurant in fair distance.

I didn't like saying goodbye after a whole month.

I LOVED the owners, Trish and Kyle. Always helpful and available, and best of all - made me feel a part of their family, always welcomed me in, always made time, and very generous. Everything about the cottage was top-notch, but the people were the best part! Everything you need is a short walk into town, and the whole island is reachable on the local inexpensive buses, always available just down the street.

Very spacious and clean cottage with a big kitchen and living area in a super nice "neighbourhood" of other cottages by the river. We discovered too late that the swimming pool was IN the river :( bummer but it was wonderful

We had a neighbor who brought their dog. When they left for an outing they left the dog locked in the room (sometimes all day), who then howled and barked because it was lonely. It's wasn't too bad though, as the dog wore itself out after a while.

This was our second visit to Kootney, which should say something. We really enjoyed the resort and the hosts. The TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a shower area big enough for a party, and friendly staff made our visit most enjoyable.

The beautiful nature location also come with a more isolated location. We would definitely recommend to rent a car to get around and see the beauty of the island.

The accommodation was fantastic. very spacious and well equipped. The porch was so lovely to share with geckos and bull finches and to see hummingbirds and more distantly parrots from. Lovely both in sunshine or rain showers. We didn’t have a car and it was possible to travel up and down the coast on the local busses. And at EC10 to Rousseau why wouldn’t you? Not quite so easy to get into the higher touristy destinations but then we didn’t have to contend with the crazy bus drivers! Thank you to Trish for having such an amazing place. we will be coming back!

It would be nice to have a longer couch so that we could lay on it.

We make our own breakfast but all the kitchen utensils were there. We liked the porch, we didn't get wet when it rained. Parrots were cool. Very private. Great hosts. Real nice and helpful people who work there (cleaning folks, gardener).

We cannot say enough good things about Kootney resorts! Trish was an amazing host! We were greeted each morning by Miss Pinot - Trish's VERY well mannered and sweet doggy – as we enjoyed our tea and coffee out on the porch. Trish recommended a wonderful restaurant, Infinity, to have dinner, about a 10 minute walk from our cottage; which we were formally escorted to each night by Pinot. Most nights we would find Trish finishing up her dinner; and we would discuss our plans for the next day, in which she would give us valuable advice and information. We ended up making fast friends with Nerik, the owner of the restaurant. He, likewise, gave us lots of tips and names of people to ask for as we ventured out the next day. A grocery store is less than a mile away. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, so we could make breakfast every morning before setting out for that day's adventure, exploring the island. The cottage is cute, comfortable, clean, and cozy. The air-conditioning WORKS; which felt like a luxury on hot nights. The water was HOT and the water pressure was awesome. (These are the small pleasures that are not usually the case when traveling) We loved our stay at Kootney resorts. We wish we could stay longer; but next time we return to this beautiful island, we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you Trish, we love you; and now consider you our friend. Not a single thing to say bad about this place, only sad we only booked three nights here.

This cottage was amazing, in beautiful surroundings with plenty of birds flying around. Including hummingbirds and the rare parrot. Trish is THE BEST HOST We have ever met, we really felt at home, and so easy to contact whenever needed. (And her 2 lovely dogs aswell) It was even better and bigger than what the pictures indicate. Biggest 10/10 we have ever given (through 30+ countries)

Not much to write about that I didnt like, the only downside was the hot water ran out quite quickly, but once reported to Trish a solution is being put in place to prevent it happening again

The cottage was exactly as I had hoped, set in beautiful gardens with fruit trees that you could pick and eat. The birds and lizards that came to visit us and Pino the dog who lived to lie on our verandah. The apartment itself is large enough that both couples had their own space when needed. Trish answered all our questions quickly before we had even arrived and was a fantastic help during our stay.
