Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The laundry was hard to get started. Even though the owner explained us that we need to shut the door hard it was not easy.
It was equipped with everything! Towels, blankets, shampoo and body wash! Also the laundry was there so you could just use it. Kitchen was also well equipped

Very clean apartment. Good location. Hostess was lovely. She didn’t speak English but was not a problem , used google translate. Easy check in & out. Use of laundry and kitchen. Great price. Highly recommend

The apartment was cold, and it was a cold day and night. Though we turned the heat on, it must be on a timer since it ran for only a short while and the apartment did not warm up, so that our clothes, which we washed, could not dry completely. More heat would make the place excellent.
The apartment was very clean and modern; it is also well managed. Upon arrival, the hostess came when we called (in 20 minutes) and explained everything well, though we did not speak Spanish.

If you want to stay right on the Camino, it takes about ten minutes or less to walk here.
The kitchen was good with enough kitchenware to cook. The host happened to be driving by and saw us and then showed us everything about the property. We could use laundry detergent in the washing machine, which was great. Drying was a bit harder as we had to put it outside of the window. There is a nice common area with a table and WiFi info.

Location was a little further away than I would have liked but that is my fault for not checking better.
Great stay while on the camino and in need of a private room. It's about 7-8 minutes from the Camino. I didn't realize it was an apartment not a hostel so finding it was difficult at first. The manager arrived about 5 min after I texted to let me in and show me the apartment. There were two other rooms that were occupied and a nice big living room with a comfy couch, washing machine and line to dry clothes!

Location a bit far from the Camino route. I had to drag myself to go to this place as I was quite exhausted from the long walk

Very clean. Very quiet. Advertised as a room with private toilet/shower which was right this said, it was a big apartment with 2 other rooms which were not occupied that night. Big living room area totally practical kitchen (washer) drying racks on balcony. we enjoyed our short stay there.

We had a hard time finding it using our gps… Not the property’s fault…
We absolutely LOVED having the use of the washing machine! The building inside was great!

Lovely condo and lovely host to show me around. Keys for every door made me feel very secure. Facilities were fabulous to comfortable bed, washing machine, livingroom and kitchen. Great place.

Only criticism is the slightly grubby looking shower curtain which wasn't very effective at keeping floor dry, so slip hazard when getting out.
Very warm welcome from Marriane who met me at the property, showed me all the facilities, including wasine machine. Very clean, bright room with balcony.whole property clean and well presented. Coffee, both caff and de-caff, or chocolate provided.

Great to have a balcony and to be able to leave doors open. Would have been very hot otherwise. Facilities were all fabulous. Host was responsive re check in time. Close to shop for grocery items.

it was a bit of a walk from city center
The room was bright any airy. The bathtub was a wonderful treat after walking the Camino. Free use of the washing machine brought a smile to my face
