Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It was cold, they did switch off the ac when asked on the reception but then turned on again, small sink so the water was always on the floor

It was very noisy. Air conditioner sometimes made a very annoying noise during the night, and people were sometimes noisy in the corridors.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean

Small but that wasn't really an issue because it's a youth hostel. You kinda get what you pay for in the end.
The skybar has an amazing sight. The common room was spacy and chil to relax or work. The rooms were clean and the satff was very friendly.

The front/reception staff does not speak spanish and some of them dont speak in english that much, it was a little hard to ask them for help to take a taxi / metro, but overall it was a great experience in Barcelona!
Location excellent, near metro and very good looking places walking around. Room was more for friends, as the place's vibes are more for solo/group of friends travelling. Breakfast was also good, very good price and buffet type. Bed was personal, although im not use to those beds when traveling, i felt it comfortable. Nice place to stay, the Argentinian girl from the kitchen (3rd) floor is really kind and friendly, I loved her attitude!

The bathroom floor gets wet easily and makes it gradually get dirty, check the sink, have a water leak.
The stay was pleasant, the room was good in addition to the safe lockers, the breakfast was delicious, the laundry service was great.

We were next to a room that was loud at all hours and the walls were very thin. We texted the reception to do something about it at 12am and they only responded an hour later. There was also a lot of noise at night from the corridor outside our room even though it was a Tuesday. City taxes were also more than we expected.
We had a private room with a private bathroom and that was perfect for 4 people. Linens and towels provided with lockers (key card access) but pillows were quite flat.

The mattress was awful.
The room was very clean and the location was good. We had a problem with the sink which was leaking and as they had no maintenence over the weekend, they gave us a free breakfast.

Only bad thing i have to say is that above our sink there was a leak coming through the ceiling. This couldve been because of this people above our room who knows but it didnt affect our experience at all to be fair.
It was so cheap for a group of 7 of us. £177 each for 5 nights. We had a bathroom with 2 showers and a seperate room for the toilet too.

Thé staff and the location was absolutely great There was also a lovely terrasse at the 12th floor. It offers a lovely view aver the city.
Thé Breakfast was great and rich : hot drinks and different sorts of juice in the machine eggs pastries, tomatoes …

The small size of the room, being unable to open the windows and the awful system of faucet and a shower in the bathroom you're forced to hold to keep the water flowing - so infuriating!

The location is nice, it is near Clot metro station. the room is good, has necessities (electric outlet, lights) and the bed is somehow good. they have a sky lounge but unfortunately, the sky bar was closed when I visited. Friendly receptionists.

It was cold inside the room, but we've got extra blankets after complain.
Breakfast was good. Staff is very cooperative and correct. Good organization, I like the luggage room as well. Hostel is fine, fear price for the night according to value we received.

Dampness in the bathroom, smell of dampness in the room from the bathroom. The price is a bit high for what it offers. Too much time is lost waiting for the elevetor.

The room itself was too small, the lockers too close to the door and the hair dryer only lasted 1 minute of use, then stopped! I tried to get hot chocolate twice in the common area, I paid and there was only hot water coming out from the machine.
The shower in the room! It helps a lot! The shower was powered enough and the water was warm. The lockers, lift and door system are great. I was lucky to get a bed in a 4-bed girls' room, and on the second day, there were no other girls in the room, which made my stay experience more comfortable.

The staff should be more welcoming and respectful. Not all of them are bad but a few are quite rude.
It is close to the public transport links e.g metro and busses are easily accessible. The building itself is well kept and the view from top is amazing.

Its confusing because there are 2 hostels in town with the same name. There is no window in the room, so the air is bad at day, but there is a AC for the night
Staff was available 24 hours, friendly staff, easy check-in
