Hostal was a little rundown. Our room had evidence of occupation by smokers which the air conditioning did help to ckear. Acceptable for 1 night but would not wish to stay longer.

A little shabby and isn't the cleanest place however the bedding was clean and the bathroom was also responsibly clean.

They allowed me to check in early. The room was very spacious and bright. The location is unbeatable right in the centre a few mins walk from all attractions. The owners and staff are very nice, helpful and accommodating.

Centrally located & close to amenities. Breakfast in a bar across the road. Try La Cantina further down thee street for evening grub - very good. Hostal is sweet and simple, no frills but OK. No car parking facilities & difficult passenger drop off.

There was an issue with the room on the first night. However the staff responded well and resolved our issue immediately. Overall a very happy stay, Antequera was a fantastic town enjoyed every minute exploring.

It was a bit noisy at night.

Excellent location, easy to find and accepts pet dogs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything you need in the room and bathroom including a fridge.

My room was as old as all the building, and that's ok, but it wasn't exactly clean either: when I arrived there was a spot of pee on the toilet and the glass was dirty and with a hair inside. I had to sleep with the earplugs because the people in the close rooms were doing a lot of noise and you can hear everything. So not exactly the right place if you need to rest and you don't have earplugs.

Very central. The inside looks a nice old "labyrinth" filled with any kind of old objects, a nice walk that could let you prefer to use the stairs instead of the elevator. Right price for the value.

I think that the Hostal had become run-down and somewhat neglected and uncared for..many of the facilities were below standard. The rooms needed re-decorating and many things fell short of what are present day expectations. There was little care of the maintenance and replacement of essential items,like lightbulbs and a shower-holder and plug. Not really acceptable in today’s hospitality market.

Initially I was extremely disappointed by the overall look of the hotel, the reception area especially. It has an air of some of the old hotels of Spain’s past with many authentic framed historic photos of street life in Antequera, and of El Torcal and the ancient dolmans, and many unique fixtures and fittings…which have the hotel its individual character. Many of these old Hostals have gone or been turned into “boutique” hotels, lacking in any individuality, so a refreshing change.

Bottom sheet hadn't been changed. Top sheet was clean but had cigarette burns in it. Bathroom not clean.

Bed bugs, then offered a Nicotene soaked room not fit for guests. Very rude night staff. Ended up leaving at 2 a.m, had to visit clinic for treatment for bed bugs.

Parking was not at the hotel but a couple of streets away which was difficult with luggage and dogs. Description said toiletries provided, there was the tiniest little sachet of hand soap which was so small I thought it was a tooth pick! Description said microwave provided but there was no microwave. I didn't need one but other guests might need one.

Reasonable size room for me and my 2 dogs at a very reasonable price. Reception spoke some English, were very helpful and helped me carry my bags to the room Mini fridge in room which was useful

I couldnt tell if my air conditioner was not functioning or if I was too exhausted to figure out how to turn it on. Really minor and im sure it was user error. So ask how to turn the AC unit on.

To begin with we were allocated a dirty room and one that reeked of old cigarette smoke. On checking the bed the sheets had not been changed and were so old and thin that they were torn. We were then allocated another room that appeared clean but again the sheets had tears, the towels holes and smelled of bleach. The ceiling light had no lampshade, the bedroom chair old and damaged, the bath and toilet both stained. We had booked twin beds as shown in the selection on Bookings but got nothing like it, not with the first room and not in the second room that had a double bed where we rolled to the centre due to its age and lack of support. Note: all rooms have no smoking signs but all rooms have ashtrays and one can smell that people (still) smoke. There are two cigarette vending machines at reception.

Location, plus architecturally and interior design very interesting. We tried to find out more about the hostel’s history but the staff were not able to inform us further. Friendly staff. We were able to store our bicycles without a problem.

Location almost in the city centre, limited parking nearby, but 500 m away bigger parkings, also free of charge. Wooden furniture a bit older, but nicely maintained.
