This hotel is situated in the middle of two theatres so around 10pm at night we could hear the closing music of the shows. It was also situated opposite a soup kitchen where people would queue all day for food, the smell of weed would be present and police officers there all day too, a bit off putting when first arriving but you get used to it. The area itself is a little rough, with homeless people wandering around. The room was very dark with a window that overlooked the interior air conditioning units and other rooms so we had to keep the curtains shut at all times. The hotel had a bar in the same room as the breakfast room but was not staffed so when we came back the hotel and wanted to relax with a drink before bed the front desk staff had to open the bar up to serve us. So we were able to get a drink but this wasn’t your stereotypical bar.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April 2024 just after Easter weekend. Overall we had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and the room was big and comfortable. The bathroom had your usual toiletries including a toothbrush and toothpaste which was a nice touch. The breakfast had plenty of choice of both hot and cold food and you could help yourself. There was also a small gluten free section, with pastries and cereal bars. The entrance and lobby of the hotel was beautiful and modern but with a classy feel. The hotel has a roof terrace with some plastic seating, with views across the city but this is much smaller than it seems in pictures. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the Plaza Mayor with plenty of bars and restaurants and so many tapas bars locally too.

The hotel looked a bit tired and in need of redecoration as there was peeling wall paper on a lot of walls.

The location was great. The breakfast was really good, the staff were great.

I had a very dark internal room, so it felt like I was in a cupboard. The decor etc on the internal corridors etc is a little tired.

We wanted big bed, but it was given twin bed to us. We were next to other room. And at night we could here snoring((( Wall isolation could be better.

Room was very good, clean , big. Location is perfect , everything was near. We were happy that in this hotel all knows English, welcoming you with a smile.

I know that this is a matter of personal preference, but I found the bed too soft and the pillow too hard. Also, I could hear considerable noise from the other rooms.

The location is excellent, 3 metro stops from Atocha train station, and only a few blocks walk from the Sol plaza. The breakfast was also excellent.

Bedroom seemed to be refurbished in the past. But the wear and tear is visible. Some attention to details would revamp the room ambiance. Room is clean an comfortable.

despite being at a very high floor, the bathroom smelled of sewage (probably an overall problem in Madrid)

nice room, very big bathroom, friendly staff. There are a safe and a minibar in the room, and also an airdryer in the bathroom. the location is super! nice resaurants and tapas bars in the vicinity, and it is close to several metro lines.

Room very hot and window overlooking a dark shaft. Hotel was in process of redecoration and we were not advised in advance.
