Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenOur room was next to the central heating unit which was active all night during our stay. This made some nights’ sleep uncomfortable and less relaxing.
The staff toll extraordinary care of all guests during period. It felt very personal, yet professional. We got fantastic hints on exploring the island. All day we felt to be in focus.

Belgium> it's more a detail but important for a good sleep > materass was too soft > very little window in the room (probably an advantage in the summer)
> welcoming staff > central location (with parking 4' walk away) > very nice building with terrasse on the roof > nicely renovated

United KingdomOur room was quite small and the shower head was too large for the cubicle so the bathroom floor kept flooding but this did not spoil our stay
Fantastic location right in the historic centre of Artà. Staff and proprietor were charming . Stylish but comfortable. The roof terrace was spectacular in the evenings.

Czech RepublicThe shower and bathroom installation. They had completly glass walls right next to the bed. Lack of privacy. No parking by hotel, need to leave the car further out of the town.
The hotel in general, artistic and lovely decorated. Right in the middle of the historical town.

United KingdomThe shower leaked a little if you weren’t careful so an additional towel would be useful to mop up, there was concrete floor so it was quite slippy. Also no person at front desk when we arrived so it was a bit slow sorting check in.
Loved the building, the rooms were on the smaller side but very nice and the restaurant was gorgeous. The town was a pleasant surprise too, small but lovely. The view from the roof terrace is amazing and breakfast really good. Lovely spot to stay.

United KingdomWe had an issue with the key to our room which we reported on the first day of our stay. Unfortunately this was not resolved until the day we left. It was a pity as if this problem had been resolved immediately we would have rated the room as excellent. Having to struggle to get into the room was not very relaxing.
Breakfast was very good.

IrelandSee through glass toilet door so not much privacy!!, The property is a large renovation so some rooms must still be in process of renovation as u can see stickers still on the newly inserted windows in the internal courtyard - these could be peeled off to make it feel less like that. Pine doors , which has design choice don’t feel very luxurious. Supermarket shower gel… again a little spend on local produced toiletries would give higher end feel.. Walls need another layers of paint. No staff around so for example in bad rain there was no one to take in the cushions on the sun loungers on the roof terrace, so they are badly stained - which is a pity because they look really good quality. I can see though that it’s a labour of love and the owner is literally doing everything with only 2 people I could see helping in breakfast room & cleaning rooms. These are just small details that could make big difference. It’s not a cheap nightly rate, perhaps this makes you less likely to ignore these little things. But I have recommended this hotel to my friends & family & would return.
It’s a really amazing location in the heart of Arta, which is a small quiet town. The property was a warren of rooms on various split levels. It’s a sympathetically restored building. Our room was fabulous suite, lovely large size with a small sofa which sufficed for our 7 year old child to sleep on. We had a Spacious room. Lovely layout. Soft neutral tones. I loved the double curtain- one layer muslin & one blackout layer so room totally dark for sleep. Good internet. Good soft lighting, Mini fridge in room so handy to keep supply of cold drinks. Lovely roof terrace wit little plunge pool which we so appreciated in the heat. Amazing views to the old cathedral from the roof. I sent 3 emails in weeks prior to our arrival & they were all answered promptly. Fantastic seafood restaurant and amazing vermouth bar directly behind the hotel.

GermanyThe breakfast was not refilled when things were over, and you had to specifically ask the staff to bring more. I think they were understaffed, which lead to this problem. The floor in my room was made of limestone, which was cool but also freezing cold to walk on
Such a gem in the middle of a beautiful city! The breakfast was tasty, and you can sit outside in a small square between narrow allies. Very fun experience. The room was beautiful as well. There are two pools. The rooftop pool is AMAZING.
