Although the dinner was reasonably priced, we were unaware that there was no “a la carte restaurant” and on our first night, the buffet style restaurant (the only restaurant), was absolutely packed with very young children and parents. It was not a good ambience for couples who were looking for a relaxed meal after a long drive to a supposed restful location in the mountains. The noise was earth shattering, with screaming children running loose and causing havoc. I wish we’d been told in advance so that we could have opted for the bar menu (we didn’t know it was possible to eat in the bar). It completely ruined our dinner. The second night was a much more civilised dining experience. Although still only a buffet, but much nicer as the “kindergarten” clientele had all gone. We think it isn’t unreasonable to expect a pleasant meal experience in a good class of hotel such as this one clearly is, and I would think twice before returning purely for that reason. Maybe it’s best to check for such things before going, but seeing as we normally book way in advance, it might not matter. My suggestion is that such a party of guests should be given a different time slot to others. It would ease the pressure on the staff and certainly make adult guests feel more relaxed.

We loved the tranquil location, unbeatable views and excellent and lots of wide, free parking. We loved the helpful and friendly staff. Dog friendly hotel with beautiful grounds to walk around. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and of great quality. Lots of choice at the buffet dinner for a reasonable cost.

It could do with a facelift - very 'traditional' rooms. No telephone charger for one of the two twin beds. I had to take the tv plug out and use that socket. Slightly disappointed with the terrace - the wall is high so you feel a bit hemmed in - should have made it in glass instead. Not in Graazemela, note - looks across the valley to the village of Grazemela so has a great view of the mountains. Can walk over to it, probably takes 45 minutes.

The staff! Nacho in the restaurant and Julia on the desk were both excellent as were all the staff here. Extremely reasonable for dinner, bed and breakfast!

Lack of signs on the routes on foot to Grazalema from the hotel.

The hot tub was not very hot. Metal doorstop in the middle of the bathroom floor in a place that makes it very easy to stub your toe.

The service from Booking .com. We were told we would pay at the property. Then we were told we must pay in advance. We thought this might be a scam and I had to contact reception at the hotel by email to sort everything out. They could not have been more helpful and I will book direct next time. .

The location has outstanding views over the national park and well situated for exploring the surrounding area. The buffet breakfast was really good, lots of choice and all very fresh. We also tried the evening buffet which was really good value for money with lots of choice.

Summer time was peak season with lots of families and children. The hotel organized dance/music by the pool area with very loud music. This was very invasive for the rest of the guests and did not go well keeping mind the tranquility of the place.

Beautiful location. The hotel is perfect for a visit to the natural park and village of Grazalema. Value for money, great rooms, bathroom and comfy beds. The pool and jacuzzi with the views is amazing. Great breakfast.
